Default Safety goggles for red 200mw

Heya, I'm pretty new to lasers and to this site. I ordered 200mw red laser and I think I need safety goggles for it because I wanna burn stuff and point at things inside the house, only when no other people are around. What safety goggles would be good for me and really protect my eyes ? Also when I'm pointing the sky I don't need to wear the safety goggles, right ? Links to the sites would be great Thanks!

these are worth the price if you want some broadband protection... i bought some a while back for a 700mw ir laser. even though ive sold the ir laser i wouldnt sell these for anything b/c they can be used for multiple wavelengths.

The good thing about those specific goggles is they also block 405nm if you ever make a bluray laser.

Does the glasses at htt p://ww w.dragonlasers.com/catalog/Red-laser-beam-protection-640-750nm--Laser-Eyewear-p-16255.htm l protect eyes if laser refrect from somewhere or when your burning stuff ? Just want to be sure to not buy those if they aren't good.

hm, how often do you need us to say it? they do!

got them also, if you're trying to burn something in front of your eyes it hurts. put the googles on, the dot is still bright, but it doesn't hurt, and you can see the actual size of the dot, and not just something screaming bright red...

that (not hurting my eyes) combined with some experiments of shining the beam through the googles to a wall, comparing that faint red with a 5mw cheapo pointer, and finally the knowledge that these goggles at least SHOULD protect my eyes is good enough for me. "best bang for the buck" would be a good term here imho.

//edit: i got these actually:
http://www.dragonlasers.com/catalog/...s-p-16254.html
i don't think it does make a big difference in the "red" range, even though the dilda is 660nm.

I have got glasses from dragon lasers for my blu-ray build. they are very nice. I'm currently waiting on another set for my 660nm red laser build.
