Question Safety goggle wave legnth question

Hey,
I am working on building a 250mw, 660nm red laser and a 100mw, 405nm blue laser and I realized that I should probably have some goggle for these.
I was thinking of getting these Red laser beam protection 590nm to 650nm Laser Shades :: Laser Safety Glasses :: Dragon Lasers
but I realized that they only go up to 400nm (5 off) and 650nm (10 off)
1. would make a big difference?
2. could a person see a .25mw laser's dot or a .o3 blue laser ( if i calculated that correctly)
3. does anyone have any recommendations for goggles that would support both colors and have like 2-2.5 ODs

Thanks for everything

OD>4 @ 190-450nm
OD>2 @ 598-620nm
OD>4 @ 621-740nm
OD>2 @ 741-752nm

Covers everything you need, even has a decent price, an OD chart is given, but may be a bit dark because they attenuate a lot. It's probably hard to beat something at this price, but it doesn't hurt to look around.

you wont beat dragonlasers for price and quality, the only glasses that are better are oemlasers, but they cost you a lot

Thanks of the feedback
the only question I have is if it is still possible to see atleast a little of the beam with the OD being that high? or would ones like these work better

Red laser beam protection 640-750nm Laser Eyewear :: Laser Safety Glasses :: Dragon Lasers

Thanks abunch

no you will definately not see a beam at almost any OD, unless you have a hugely powerful laser. you will see the dot though.

i wouldn't get the goggles that you first showed, they are slightly off which could be dangerous. i have the pair that i showed you and they work great for my 300mw red

Yeah the goggles you showed are the ones I am leaning towards, I am really only concerned about it being too much for the blue laser

it might be, but you don't buy laser glasses for the laser to be visible, you buy them to burn things with etc. you probably wont be able to see 0.03mw of 405nm at all, i cant test this as i dont have a 405nm laser at the moment

hmmmm... I understand what you mean about the burning thing, but I want to be able to see what I'm burning and other ones seem to be good with a little less ods the only problem is that they are out of stock. I think you are definitely right about the dragon lasers being the best quality and price

Small note: oemlasers is just one of the many redistributors of these goggles, and these are actually normal prices for normal safety goggles. Try looking up how much safety goggles for higher powers cost, you may just be surprised.
