From what I've heard, Optotronics' RPLs do not have an emission delay or an interlock dongle. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Also, I've heard that the LED on RPLs indicate whether the laser is "armed" instead of being on. Personally, I think this would be more useful, since it's somewhat silly to have a LED indicator for a visible laser.

Hmmm
I never thought of that.... ;D

However..If you're wearing your goggles...you won't see the beam..then the indicator LED becomes valuable again.

Well I like the LED as is because it is showing you that you have power to the laser. Now if they could change it to a multi color LED that would be awesome. Red for power is on and Green for.. well you get the idea.

LED indicators can be a lot more useful than you would think  ;)

The RPL units have an indicator LED that is green when armed, and red when firing.

Because if the LED were red for armed and green when firing your protective eyewear would block the green LED
