I was just wondering kinda stupid question, while im waiting for safety glasses would a welding helmet work.

You could use a camera/phone with a LCD to view your laser. I don't know what kind of laser you have but assuming its not in the IR range you can use it outdoors in a non populated/safe environment.

Just use it "Responsibly"

a camera cell phone will not protect you. it is way in front of your face and can not protect you from relections.

Your absolutely right. I was totally thinking about the Guy who built a goggle system out of his iPhone. Thank you for correcting me.

well i live in texas alot of open area so i have no distance issue. most likely i wont be shining it in close proximity.
Or at people or cars for that matter.
oh and its 250mw red.
