Yeah, i guess that is what police would suggest if the exposure level is not dangerous - or some tall enough fencing outside if that helps.

A camera recording doesnt really prove much about the danger, even if you manage to burn out some pixels on the camera sensor that is not proof it is dagerous to human vision (considering the huge size of a camera lens input vs the tiny human pupil etc).

I was referring to him using it to figure out where the laser was coming from. He commented

Oh sure, it could help with that if you are trying to figure out which appartment in a highrise it actually is coming from.

I would not be overly surprised if it proved to come from a stairwell or something, probably kids not even living in the building messing about.
