well this is a strange one but I am sure many people want to do this

I want to shine my laser at a plane just to see if I can see it hit the plane - I dont want to get in trouble or cause a crash so dont worry I wont do this - but it would be cool if there was a plane that would fly a mile up or more and let people shine lasers at it for fun so they dont shine it at a regular plane for fun

you know sorta how they came up with shooting ranges for guns, a shooting plane for lasers - because lets face it these are way to powerful to be shining them anywhere but up in the sky or somewhere far away unless you are wearing protective glasses - asked a pilot friend and he said it should be legal given proper safety was followed and there was no other planes in the area at the time, but there is no way he would want to be flying the plane

so any pilots here who want to let some people have some fun safely?

If I would know you in real life, I would steal all your lasers just for the sake of public safety.

Only if you stick to a smaller caliber weapon. How big is your backyard?

Please let Us know when the Fed's get finished with You after Your little adventure. I have a feeling You will get a visit from them soon, because if you're tempted now you'll do it one day.

thast not save unless they are in a whole body suite - but I would like to try this also

know how the first bullet proof vest was tested? - the guy who made it took a 357 magnum and turned it around and shot him self in the stomach - it worked and he was OK

All other vests were proven not to be bullet proof, and their creator were never heard from again.

Sure! For $250/hr + avfuel, I'll circle above your house all day.

The only catch is, I shine lasers back.

LOL!

I'm willing to bet the laser you shine back is a tad more powerful than the one you got hit with ;-)

I love how you tried to work out the logistics of how you would shot someone in your back yard.

You know you have 2 whole eyes you could see how long you can look into the laser with one of them. And then and try to beat that time on the other...
