I bought a few pairs from focal to test out, and a 200mW direct hit of 405nm will still allow approx 20% of the beam through. They may help in that you wont get the full power of the beam, but 20mW is still not safe.

Anybody else try a set of these goggles in between a bluray and a meter?

Most cheap green lasers also emit some IR at 808nm & above. Those glasses won't block IR. The IR is less focused then the green so some don't consider it too much of a hazard if you use your lasers safely.

The o-like goggles let through about 41mW against my 185mW 532nm star pointer!:wtf:

Wow...that seems incredibly high to me! I know they will always let through IR leak from a greenie...but that would me 22% of the laser's power is IR? o_O

If your measurement is accurate, those glasses are actually an OD of 0.65 and if the allow the nearly 25% of 532nm though, they are really as far as eye protection for any beam greater than 20mw.
This is a problem with cheap laser glasses, all they care about is making a quick buck on glasses with red lenses that probably cost no more than 25 cents a pair to produce and couldn't care less who may go blind by taking a direct hit or reflection from a powerful beam.
