The lasershades do not filter anywhere close to the NOVAlasers goggles

I gotta disagree with you a little bit there, but its a matter of personal preference. In my opinion, the other OD2-3 sports goggles were better - they obviously filter less than the OD6+ ones, but they are already sufficient filtering for any portable greenie, and they don't make it too hard to see the dot. The problem I have with the OD6+ goggles is that they are almost too strong. If you can barely see where you're shining the laser, it becomes a whole new danger in itself. Its not as bad as the case with WLs red-filtering goggles though which are completely unusable. I just know that when I go to grab a pair of goggles, I either go for the lasershades or sports OD2-3.

You can see that in darkness the OD6+ are fine, but in lighter situations it makes it hard for me to see the laser.

arnt the nova goggles like 50$? is there a site that sells saftey glasses for like 20$ ? why so expensive i mean arnt they just like sunglasses ?

$50 is a steal. No, they aren't like sunglasses. For laser saftey you want a very low transmission at the band of laser you work with, while letting as much other light through.

WL goggles used to cost $135 and they were still at a good price. If you buy regular retail goggle for these applications you'll be paying $150-450 a pair.

If you think $50 is too much for goggles, then you quite frankly can't afford a laser. Sorry.

As much as I LOVE to argue (uhm...I mean DEBATE) With Psuedo - I gotta agree 100% with him on this one - if you cannot afford hte eye protcetion, you shouldn't get the laser.

Hey - your eyes, your life, etc ! Not trying to lecture - just stating that protective gear is a must in this hobby - I am careful, but most likely not careful enough sometimes. Just making sure the word is out there
