measuring ir emission from a 532nm at home?

I read that some lasers that operates at the visible spectrum can also emite infra red radiation. I wondering if that radiation could be seen using a camera with an ir pass filter.

for example, if I place an ir pass filter (taken from a remote controller) over my macbook camera (macbook camera shows ir light easily) then I point the green laser to a mate surface and the laser point is not visible at all through the camera, can I assume there isn't a considerable amount of ir radiation coming out from that laser?

Yes it can. I used a 760nm pass filter like this one. I measured it at 94% transmission at 808nm. The first part of the video is what a normal camera sees (nothing) so you need to be sure the camera can see IR well.

I need to find an IR pass filter like that, where did you get it?

I'm starting to wonder if this 473nm labby is putting out tons of IR....

Instead of worrying about finding out if your laser is emitting tons of IR. Kill two birds with one stone by adding an IR filter. It will save you time and money if the laser is in fact emitting a ton of IR.

Ah, no, I knew it would be spewing IR with the head open, I meant through the aperture, but Cyparagon answered my question in the other thread. (It has a filter.)
