Default Laser safety glasses for DX 200 red laser?

I just ordered a green and red pair of glasses from wicked lasers, as these have good reviews.

My concern is I notice the ones for the red laser protect the eyes up to 650nm, whereas the DX 200 red laser, I think outputs at 660nm,e so maybe these glasses are no good for the DX 200 red laser?

So are these still ok to use?

No all is well. Those glasses will work great with your laser. The thing with these protective goggles it that protection doesn't just suddenly drop off. This is why green glasses can also be used to some extent with blu-ray and blue lasers, while they offer the most protection for green of course. The protection is usually over a pretty wide band.

thanks

They are fine. The OD doesn't drop from 3 to 0 in just 10nm. But since Wicked does not present an OD graph for the lasershades, there no exact way of telling how the curve goes down. So you want absolute certainty, you need certified goggles.

Hi! I've buy dx200 red laser (662nm).
For a good safety:

Red laser beam protection 640-750nm – Laser Eyewear from Dragonlasers
OD>3 for 640-750nm

OR

Wickedlasers LaserShades? (OD in 662nm??)

Thanks a lot ( i'm a newbie :'( )

ALL diodes vary in wavelength because of manufacturing and environmental factors.
Wavelength is usually reported as something like 662nm (+- 10nm)

Peace,

P.S. Give your exclamation point key a rest
