that's pretty cool. I wonder how many mW it will take to get the lane bright enough to let oncoming motorists see the "lane"?

They say they are still in the prototype phase. I think that when they do make it a green diode would probably be the best choice as that's easier to see at night.

Another thing they could do is like the bike lights that re-charge while you pedal would be to build one of these with batteries that charge while your riding along too. I think that would take a lot of time away from waiting for your batteries to charge if you're going to ride at night.
