His laser wont be fine, its a WL piece and its also a DPSS. Diodes are fragile enough as is, add in all the optics of the DPSS and any bit of "recoil" or shock will F it up. Drop a laser from 6" could destroy it, tend to believe that recoil is more shock than a 6" drop.

Kipkay is an idiot, end of discussion
EDIT: Sorry there never was any discussion since we all agree on this

It really bigs me that he gives away lasers to his subscribers. Half the winners are probably underage, and will go pointing at their friends, or playing with their dog because it's fun. All most likely without wearing the safety goggles. It's just insane.

I tried to participate in the giveaway, and I just had to write my name
(I'm underage) to win a class IV laser. INSANE
In the end, I did not participate.

All I have to say is I am 100% fine with him having a high powered laser on his gun....

If he were to hit someone with the laser that means his gun is aimed at them and there are some serious issues then.

by the way that is my AR FlutterPie posted

I feel what I am doing is worse then what you guys are getting on him about.
I have had 2x100mw sights and 3x2000mw lasers mounted. The one difference between me and him though is his following, he has the ability to influence a large amount of people because of his "popularity".... but even then I don't think him showing you can strap something from WL to your gun is anything to get upset about.

Before anyone says something, if you go to the youtube page I have this posted under the video

"If you notice the laser was aimed at an upward angle. I made sure there was no aircrafts in that direction before turning it on. Never aim a laser into the sky without checking for aircrafts."

I don't see why you must always be rude to everyone? Being nice can go a long ways.

Spare us your indignation and hypocritical whining. Cyp was just calling you out your rude/patronizing response to FlutterPie.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

"If you notice the laser was aimed at an upward angle. I made sure there was no aircrafts in that direction before turning it on. Never aim a laser into the sky without checking for aircrafts."

Also make sure to note to not use a scope while using the laser. The scope presents a wider target for potential reflections, and also concentrates the light into your eyes.

I don't use it with the laser but that is a good thing to point out

Do you use safety goggles with the gun?

So far I have only used them outside so no I do not. I have not been to an indoor range where I am the only one in there so I haven't used it there yet.

Mhelming is a large proponent of safety so no need to worry about him, kipkay on the other hand; he needs a lot of teaching and prayers to save his butt

Kipkay is taking advantage of the audience to boost WL's sales, and is getting a large chunk of money off of that.

That's what I have a problem with.

Scoping while lasing is deadly and not enough people understand this.

Do you think the BATFE would be interested this kipkay video? He has broadcast incriminating video of himself breaking the law and installing a 5mw+ (50-100mw) laser to a gun and using it. It shouldn't be too awful hard to get their attention with this.

That will just make the genuine enthusiasts look bad too. And will be another step towards stricter laser regulations. As much as we all disagree with kipkay, let him blind himself before further hurting the reputation of lasers , and genuine laser enthusiasts.
