Importing - Accession Number

Hi All,

First post here. So I am trying to import laser pointers from China 5mw. I've been told by Fedex that I will need to fill out a radiation form 2877. It looks like I need an Accession Number. How to I obtain this? I asked my manufacturer but they don't sound like they know what that is. I've purchased 500 laser pointers before from other manufacturers with absolutely no problems. I don't get why this time around I'm having issues.

To follow FDA regulations, a company needs to incur some basic cost to be sure the product is manufactured with all safety features and also to apply for the Accession Number and put on correct labels required by the FDA.

If your proposed supplier does not comply with the regulations and can not supply an acession number, then swithch to a supplier that does/can.

Fax or email a pdf file of form 2877 to your supplier and tell them you need the information from them or the actual manufacturer if it is not them, that the form requires.

Yep, the accession number is a number the manufacturer has to obtain from the FDA to certify their products are compliant, if they don't know what an accession number is then there is no way you'll be able to import their products.
