this isn't clear for me.

if i buy a laser with ir filter, will i need to buy a pair of goggles or not?

hoy much % of risk or damage is reduced by an IR filter?

i want to buy a new laser (i have newish 15mw) but i'm scared of damage my vision by accident.

filter or not, respect, safety and protection are paramount.

Seems like a lot of people think a filter is going to save their sight lately.

Although a GOOD IR filter will screen out the IR, your eyes are STILL in peril from the 532nm GREEN light, especially if the laser is putting out more than 5mw's. The higher the mW's, IR filtered or not, the more danger to your eyes there is. rob
