It's times like these that I'm happy to see there banning >5mW lasers on dx. :
When you build the laser you realize that you must be careful and you also know EXACTLY what its capable of. When you buy something you usually (not you guys) don't think about how it works and don't realize that it could cause harm to someone. In the video he was just "some guy who watched a video on youtube" and had no idea what he was doing.
He knew EXACTLY what he was doing! As far as an aircraft crashing because someone shined a laser at it...I hope I NEVER have to see the day where that becomes a reality. :-/
Wait a second... You can fire a gun but if you point a laser at someone THEN you get arrested.

I would think that they would be more concerned a guy like him had a gun while he was drunk than a laser...if a gun hits anyone anywhere it's going to do permanent damage or kill them, a 5mW laser....haven't heard of anyone being killed by one...ever..never heard of a plane crashing or anything :-/

I'm fairly positive thats not a hulk laser, I'm pretty sure its a laser gun sight, given the fact that it has a mounting bracket on the front end.rocketparrotlet said:

even if it had crashed a few feet off the ground, I'm sure you guys can all guess how over priced every material was that made that helicopter. its like on a car, $800+ for a bumper, a plastic bumper
