Goggles as beam visablity

Hello!

I'm sure this has already been asked. Scold me if so.

I was looking to purchase RIFLE 445nm - 1W Focusable Burning Blue Laser

So accordingly I was going to pick up T-REX Laser Safety Goggles for 532nm / 445nm Laser

My question is, would I still be able to see the beam with the goggles on?

Also would it be safe to view the beam without goggles shining into the sky at night? ( of course with no airplanes, or helocopters in sight).

I'm fairly new to lasers. The only lasers I own are two greenies 5 and 50mw and a violet 5mw. Note I only use the 50 for astronomy purposes.

You wouldn't be able to see the beam at all, when wearing good goggles.

Get yourself a pair of decent goggles, pass on the trex stuff, they are a gamble and gambling with your eyesight is not a good idea, there are several links in my signature.

It's perfectly safe to view the beam from the side, outside, just be careful where you point it (looks like you already know that though).

They are a better choice then the trex goggles, I have a couple of pairs. They aren't anywhere as good as eagle pair, or certified goggles, from OEM, but they should protect you for a second from a reflection.

There was a coupon code floating around for them a while back, you may want to search through the forum for it a bit.
