Glasses for a Violet Laser

I was thinking about buying a 200mW 405nm (violet) laser [aHR0cDovL2hpZ2h0ZWNoZGVhbHouY29tL2luZGV4LnBocD9tYWluX3BhZ2U9cHJvZHVjdF9pbmZvJmNQYXRoPTEmcHJvZHVjdHNfaWQ9MzE=] and I was wondering if these [aHR0cDovL3d3dy5kcmFnb25sYXNlcnMuY29tL2NhdGFsb2cvR3JlZW4tYW5kLWJsdWUtbGFzZXItYmVhbS1wcm90ZWN0aW9uLS1MYXNlci1zYWZldHktZ2xhc3Nlcy1wLTE2MjQyLmh0bWw=] would be a good pair of safety glasses for this laser. All the specs seem to match, but I thought I'd ask before I risked burning my eyes out by being wrong. Thank you.

OEM Laser Systems (oemlasersystems.com) is the best place to buy protective eye gear. They have many frame styles and the ones that cover 405nm also cover 532nm, so you can use one pair of glasses safely with two different wavelengths. These glasses (AL-2) are OD 2+ for both 405 and 532. The least expensive frame style is about $48 (and they are in the US). Even if you took a direct shot from your blu ray with the glasses on (which hopefully you would not), it would be effectively reduced to <2mW. These glasses also enable me to still see the beam of my CNI PGL III-C 250mW green at night with the glasses on. The laser actually peaks and stays steady at about 290mW. CNI lasers are steady and solid as most of you in the current group buy will soon see. Also, I could not see your link.   Bill

And to OP, those glasses will work, but they are not certified. Many members have had good experiences with them, unlike OEMlasersystems, dragonlaser's goggles are not officially approved to effectively stop the laser. That is not to say they won't (they should), but they are not garunteed to.

But yes, the laser you linked to is 405nm and those goggles cover 190nm to 500nm IIRC, so they are covered
