What is the best deal I can get on laser protective goggles (405nm) that will make it so even if I shine it in my eyes I won't be affected. I am not going to actually shine it in my eyes, I just want to be as safe as possible, as I use my eyes quite a bit.

I don't really think goggles are THAT necessary, I would go with wicked lasers green lasershades, they are pretty broad spectrum and do protect from 405nm, and are cheap too

most companies shipping rates are pretty high, i was thinking of buying some goggles from dragonlaser(they have 405nm 650nm in the same unit) but they too have shipping of 20 bucks.

It looks like that is what I will be getting. Certified and cheap shipping. (Remove spaces of course)

I got a dragonlasers green/blue and red, together with shipping they were still cheaper than the alternatives and they both work well. If I had to order it again I would have also thrown in a set of high quality diffraction gratings, they make for incredible pictures and you can use them to measure wavelength down to the nm. I have some cheap plastic ones, but I still regret not going for the real deal.

May I ask how much shipping for DL is? The goggles that you mentioned have OD+ for 405nm and the OEM lasers one has 2 OD+. And for half the price.
