Question Class 4 laser through Canadian customs.

How likely will I get my 1W spartan 445 laser from dragonlasers? I heard about lasers class 3b or above are illegal in Canada but still some go through the customs. I will be buying the laser over summer.

Search the forum for "Laserglow."

It is not difficult to build your own with a few hours of practice soldering things.
It is especially easy today with the wide variety of kits available.

There are tons of options but here is a good place to start reading to get an idea of how most lasers are assembled:
1.6W Peak 445nm SS 18650 Jayrob host W/'custom 'Hot' option' heatsink on driver

Just browse the tutorials/modifications section or anything that seems interesting.
You will get the hang of it.

In case you didn't find the thread about Canadian restrictions this is the one:
Canadian restrictions on portable lasers (Official info release from Laserglow)
