Because of this I am emailing you from my personal account so that this exchange betwwen us doe not become part of the legal record if you choose to stop all sales of these devices, refund any monies for any future sales and stop immediately.

I highly doubt someone from the FDA would mispell words and email you from his personal GMail account? I am 99% sure this is bull.

With all the scares of this going around at the moment I suspect it's some immature idiot who thinks it's funny to mess with people.

I got the real deal a while back on fee-bay, It's agentname@fda.gov.(state abreviation you live in) and they simply tell you to cease and desist immediately... OR else, and they will also give you a phone number to call the agent that has your case.

It was however a rival ebay competitor that reported me, and after a single phone call it was made clear that the devices are OEM modules for new equipment integration.

In short gmail.com= BULLSH**

You woudn't get an e-mail. You would get a court ordered cease & desist.

i cant speak for everyone, but until someone knocks at your door with positive credentials, tell everyone else to "F*** OFF"
if the government was to bust someone, i highly doubt they would send an PM, e-mail, or even a postcard. they would probably just haul your ass to jail or at very least server some paperwork that you didn't REALLY want to see telling you your court date.
IMO!

they also have sub-domain directories, such as al.fda.gov or similar. the msg could have been sent from another exchange (mail) server in the same domain.

Connermb,
You have been reported to us and identified through a popular laser forum as an........

sorry to be bumping this thread again, but i reread the email day got and the first sentence caught my attention:
"You have been reported to us and identified through a popular laser forum as an........"
that means somebody (LPF member/competitor) reported day to them to stop him from selling lasers.

tell me if im wrong.

It was FAKE. It was probably sent by someone who browses this forum. There is no connection of this to the REAL letter Mohrenberg received.

this is the way i see it- they send fake emails/letters to members that are selling lasers (Day), when things got hot and it was found that the emails are fake they repoted them to the fda (mohrenberg). after they put them out of business WL put up their add.

what do you think????
