To all of those who are or aren't reading this, I would like to personally say....

IF YOU SHINE A LASER AT A PERSON, LIVING THING, PLANE, CAR, ETC.....

YOU ARE RETARDED. I hope you fall off of a cliff and die a horrible death. You are the reason the gene pool is becoming shallower every day.

I just returned home today from myrtle beach. Guess what the big craze is down there with all the dumbass little beach shops on the beach?

Green laser pointers! And guess what else what? They think the sole invention of a laser pointer is to shine it in peoples eyes, and at them while they walk on the beach, or are sitting on their balcony.

I can't tell you how many times I had a green laser pointed at me, and hit my face this week.

I failed to bring any of my own lasers with me on this trip, because I didn't feel much like toting any around, I wanted a nice peaceful vacation.

I wish to god I had my 2W 445's with me to shine back at those assholes and blind them for good. ( I would never really do this but wanted to so badly)

I was at the pool with my girlfriend, and some asshole decided to shine it at us while we swam. It was late at night, and easy as hell to figure out which balcony it was coming from. I counted the floors up, and easily figured out his room. I found the friendly security guard at my hotel, and had him call the police.

A police officer came, talked with me, and we saw the same douche bag doing his business where he was before. So the police officer went up to his room, and kindly escorted him down to his car.

He was put in the back seat. I'm not sure what happened after that, but the police officer said the lasers being sold around there were of legal powers to be imported into the US, but that shining them at any human being etc etc is illegal.

I pissed my pants I was so happy to get one piece of living dirt off of the beach.

I just hope all the idiots, or little kids that think this crap is funny, gets caught.

I realize not many on this site would ever do such a thing but my point is this.

When going to the beach, or on vacation.... ALWAYS BRING A HIGH POWER LASER. That way you can at least show them that if they shine at you, a big huge beam COULD be coming right back at them.

DIE YOU RETARDS:gun:

See this is why Ocean City NJ banned any laser over 1 mw. I remember the shitfest in ocean city NJ last year with a store that had a huge stock of 30 or 40 mw greens which were on spec. I got my first bright laser and it still works like new. It was scary seeing 3 or 4 green beams on the boardwalk. I almost unitentilly got hit in the eye.

Yeah, down the beaches it's ridiculous. All we can do is hope that they are <5mw, as they should be.

When I went down to viginia earlier this year, I had a beachside hotel with a balcony (Thank you, timeshares) and a lot of people came around and pointed lasers up at me. Nights later though, the security guards took some action and started to stand around the boardwalk.

Atleast the guards and cops are taking a good course of action against the ass hats of the world.

I got hit in the face MULTIPLE TIMES. SO did my girlfriend. If she hadn't MADE me keep my cool, I would have killed them.

I got into it with one of the idiots who was shining from the beach at me.

I'm just glad they weren't over 5mW. At least I couldn't see any beams at all even looking at where the laser was coming from.

My nephew came home from Wildwood, NJ the other week. Guess what he bought down there?? Yup, a green laser. $30 for a < 5mw.

Anyway, he said everyone was shining them everywhere. I was proud of him because he knows better than to do that (he often accompanies me when I build and use lasers, and I taught him well about safety). He actually was lecturing others about laser safety at the beach; he's 9. :D

When he proudly brought his laser to me, I metered it for him. Yea.....his "5mw" laser was 39mw. :tsk: I did not like hearing that coupled with "everyone was shining them at other people's faces".

Congrats on the bust, Jake. That sort of thing should happen way more often.
Lol, you should have had your LPM with you...get a few vendors taken down as well. ;)

Note to self: buy a 2000mW 532nm Labby and a portable battery pack.

Then we can show these little retards who's boss

people like these are the reason we can't freely walk around with lasers anymore

Ain't that the truth. It's quite annoying going to fireworks displays anymore as well. There's always a few retards shining 532's during the whole show :(

Jake there are a lot of inconsiderate/stupid people out there that have no respect for others and even less respect for what danger a laser can pose. Good job on the bust!!

The thing is, they think that they are awesome cause they have cheapo lasers...

How would they feel If I got out all of my 445, 650 and 532 lasers and started shining them around like a madman.

I'm pretty sure eye doctors all around the world would love me though...

I just gave out a few + reps...

Yea, last month, we were at a fireworks display and the cheapies were lasing all over during the show, as well as after. :tsk:

The people I was with kept telling me to shine mine, which I didn't until after the show. Then it was only like 5 seconds.

After I shone my 270mw 532 next to the cheapies (which made their beams disappear :D), they all seemed to stop....maybe they felt inadequate...Lol

LOL, Maybe law enforcers around the world should carry 300mW lasers to make the little cheapo green lasers seem like $2 red keychain dollarstore pieces of crap

The only thing missing from the happy bust is a few headlines on it.
(For educational purposes)
A few police raids on the beach shops with LPM's would limit the number of dumbos with lasers, and get more attention on the whole safety issue.

I am not sure if 532 is manufactured in 5mW at all?

It is but you usually have to pay more to buy one from like laserglow or a CNI reseller.

Yeah, unfortunately I doubt the police will pay the 200$+ for an LPM. They do make 5mw 532nm's though, or at least I think they do. I bought one on ebay for 4$ and it was pretty dim, I would guess it was 5mW-10mW (I need to buy an LPM).

Toke, Thats actually a good idea...

I have no doubt that they could easily get them mass manufactured and sold for about 50 dollars each...
