It's plain and simple. They have very, VERY bad business ethics. They will never change their business ethics and will never change how they do business. They will continue to make money off of the uneducated and will continue to lose our respect. They just keep Digging themselves into a deeper hole with me personally. Every time I think they can't get any worse or sleazier, they do.

Personally I say- screw you wicked lasers, take ur crap products and false advertisements else where.

Hmmm, WL seems to have listened to all the bitching and whining on their own forum and the "750-1000mW" model is now $999.95.

So does that mean complaining really does work?

Some are still expressing the same models as before just positioned differently. Don't know, looks if they really follow the new spec range could it be better??

Wow, just checked out their site, the new pricing really eliminates much of what many people have been whining about. The biggest issue brought up here was an advertised 1W that could be anywhere from 500-1000mW. They have now cut that range in half. They have the 500-750mW category and the 750-1000mW category. Further binning just like we wanted. That's awesome. Where else can you get a 750-1000mW awesome green laser for $999? No where that's where. They also added a category 150-300mW. The issue I see there is that it overlaps with the 250-500mW category. Th latter category shold be (and most likely was intended to be) changed to 300-500mW. I am guessing this was an oversight by the person editing the data on the website. The only issue I had before was the huge range of powers in each Krypton model. Now thy have improved that greatly. Way to go Wicked! +1. Anyone who is not a close mided asshole should be able to recognize this as a vast improvement.

In my opinion $900 for a 500mW green laser with all the features of the Krypton and the sexy styling is a fair price. Of course I would much rather the price be $500. I think they would be better off in terms of forum support if they charged $1/mW for all their Krypton series and had a breakdown every 100mW for that series laser. 200mW for $200, 500mW for $500, 800mW for $800 etc. Then for example when they list the <800mW with a spec of (700min-800mWmax) people might not freak out as much.

This makes good sense - very good sense.

This is drival. Improved greatly? Vast Improvement?
I must be a close minded asshole. It doesn't hide the fact all their lasers could be 33-50% underspec.

There are only a couple of members here that are closed minded brother. :whistle:I'd like to see the email you wrote Steve, or is it Chris, or is it Xsomething. He has so many names its hard to keep tract, telling him everything we are discussing.

They are now charging 45% more money for the specs the lasers should have been. So how is this a win for customers? I still dont get it. They are still screwing people, and you still seem to happy about it. You're F*cked up man.

Where's the $1399 price tag and 45% come from? It says $999.95 on WL website for the 750 - 1000mw.

150-300 $299.95
250-500 $499.95
500-750 $799.95
750-1000 $999.95

Has it changed again?

I figured you wouldn't see the improved categorizing of their lasers as a good thing....you do fit the description. Also a $100 increase from $900 is an 11% increase. But maybe not in your mind where numbers and measurements take a back seat to assumption and idiocy. I've had no contact with anyone affiliated with WL about any of this crap. My guess is that he read this crap himself.

I was going by Jerry's numbers. I guess he'll have to chime in and tell us where he got those figures.

Still, and extra $100 is an extra $100. I'm happy they stepped up, but at the cost of the customers. Its nothing noble.

I'm still trying to figure out why you're flying the WL flag so high. Its a Chinese laser company. Why do you care enough to fight tooth and nail on its defense? It borders spam. You're totally acting like a pitch man. I think Lazerer is a top notch company, and I know Max is stand up, but you dont see me putting the effort you do into letting people know. Or putting in the time you do to get people to buy from them. I still dont get it. If you're not getting anything out of all your effort, then you're soft. You're actions dont justify the ends in either case. Its just a laser company. There are better causes you could be putting that energy into.

From what I have read, he isn't defending them.

Electron pointed out the change in specs on their website and yob merely commented on how this was a good thing.

In the last 24 hours they have twice changed their specs page, dropping the price of the 750-1W from $1499 to $999.

If WL has read this thread and decided to heed the advice then that's a good thing and it shows that this community is finally getting through to them. It may not be ideal conditions yet but it's a start.

I wholeheartedly stand by this statement:

Anyone who is not a close minded asshole should be able to recognise this as a vast improvement.

You've obviously missed the other two threads.

No I haven't, I've read it all, but I am not getting pulled into your bullshit TJ. From now on I will only reply to you if you have a valid question pertinent to the thread you're posting in.

Do yourself a favor and dont reply at all. I could care less what some internet clowns think of me, so save the drama. I'm not here to impress anyone, nor make everyone my friend. If you like me, cool, if you dont, well to bad for you. Your dislike does nothing to hurt, or sway me from my opinions.

There is an "ignore" feature. If you dont like what I say, I suggest you use it.
