Just wanted to share my experiences with this fog machine from Walmart. I have had it for about a week now. There is another review or two of this same fog machine on the forum, but I have to show you my pics!

Fog Machine - $25
Fog Fluid - $10

First I would like to say this fluid lasts for a really long time; so if you are on the edge of buying a fog machine don't worry about any expensive fluid...

I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the fog machine when I took it out of the box. Full metal case, and a nice and heavy feel to it. It isn't a cheaply made toy. Just about 1-3 bursts of fog is enough to fill my room. The device is small and gets very hot. It takes about 3 minuets to warm up.

I would definitely recommend this. Its a good way to see the beam without the need for tons of power. Great for photography of your lasers!

Here are the pics of the fog machine and then some of using it with my lasers.

Nice beam shots!
I'm gonna try to catch one of these the 1st when they mark everything down to almost nothing like they do after every holiday. It does look to be very well built.

Mine is black I got it at Target lol 5 shots in the 10 x 8 bathroom makes my 125mw laser hard to see the dot at 10 feet :p
need to switch to Froggy's Swamp Juice they say its even better and easier on the machines.

I know this current fluid is going to last me forever, but I'll have to try that sometime.

I'd also like to note that the fog comes out "warm" so it rises to the ceiling when it comes out. It doesn't matter very much for what we are using it for but on Halloween it wont look very spooky unless you cool down the fog.

You can get fog fluid which produces heavy fog, keeping it closer to the ground. To make the perfect effect of really low fog for halloween, you can get a fog machine which bursts the fog through a container which you fill with ice. These machines are rather expensive though.. And you could make a DIY attachment with ice pretty easily.

EDIT: Beat me to it :)

Tip:
For beam shots, get a fair amount of fog in the air (about 3 bursts with usual, lower powered fog machines) and blow it around the room so it is evenly spread out.
For laser shows, air out the room well to get fresh, cool air in, then use quick bursts of fog and avoid blowing it around too much - when thick fog is mixed with fresh air, it produces an awesome "swirl" in the tunnel, liquid sky and similar effects.

Lowes has them right now, also for $25 and $7 for the fluid. An employee told me if there were any left in a few days they would be marked down on clearance.

I got a similar one two years ago. Neat fun but before you shut it down, put the siphon tube in a cup of distilled water and run it until all you get is steam. Otherwise the fluid will crud up the pump and it won't work. The pump on mine is easy to clean but takes time to fix.
