Okay, has anybody else gotten one of these yet or metered one? Sta, have you bought Ricker's LPM to test it?

I have purchased Ricker's LPM, and I should have it in a few days.

Alright! I'm interested to see how this 532nm holds up to the claims. I'm fed up with trying to find >200mW modules, and your dibs post reminded me of these.

Let us know how it goes, and congrats on the new LPM. :D

If these turn out to be good, I'm sure their 200mW modules will be accurate too.

Sta, what happened to your 589? It says damaged? :(

-Alex

Yeah, I sent it back to them for repair/replacement. Without warning it suddenly lost power, then it kept losing power immediately when I turned it on. I think a crystal broke off or something.

I don't have an LPM. But I have bought both of these lasers and they certainly live up to power expectations. The 532 is insane. i will be posting reviews in the next few days once final exams are over (along with PL-E Pro 3.5W 465). The 635 red is a great burner up close, but the divergence is way worse than my 450mW 635 from rayfoss. Nice long duty cycles on both of them. The 532 does mode hop quite a bit, but it's DPSS so that's inevitable and it does have a beefy pump diode. I still like it better than 1W 520 because the beam quality is way better than a heavy-duty 520. The 520 burned way better because it was focusable and more powerful, but i never found it to be a very good burner anyway so I use red and blue for burning but not green.

Yikes!

Well hopefully it gets sorted out :)

Wow, this is good news. Does the 532 ever run in TEM00? And is the 635 beam horrendously off-center like mine?

I just saw their 1.5W and 1W 532nm...

Those are some screaming deals at $355 and $253 if they're legitimate. Still more interested in the 500mW though.

Yes, I've got my eye on those too. Only problem is they're momentary switches.

I feel like if they weren't, they'd burn up easily. That's a whole lot of waste energy without a TEC for a relatively small passive heatsink. Probably a really bad duty cycle, but the beam must be amazing.

I went to buy the 500mw about two weeks ago and I talked with a guy at XPL asking if they made a focusable 500mw 532. And he said in a month they would have hosts for all his 532 handhelds that have the ability to adjust the focus.

The 635 does have a very off center beam. But I can deal with it for up close burning or just looking at the super bright beam. My 532 sometimes hits TEM00 but for the most part remains in TEM02. I can get it to TEM00 for a minute or so but then it warms up and mode hops

That is good news. Looks like I see more 532 in my future! :)

Please please update me if you get any of the XPL combiners, RG:Y preferably. I promise I will rep.
