Yeah they are definitely pretty big! Any size comparisons you want? Also I will have to pick up a few of the smaller ones you use. My pen lasers are dwarfed! Lol

This is just the thing I need. Can you imagine trying to hold a >2lb laser with that crappy SL bendy tripod? Talk about an exercise in futility! I have a feeling I'll be strapping this tripod everywhere!

Thanks for bringing this to us, Isaac!

My pleasure! I plan on getting a professional carrying case for my PGL-III-C which will hold the laser, this tripod, 6 18650 batteries in their protective cases, and my Safety Glasses. I checked out the case you have but it seems really big for just one laser. Any thoughts?

The only problem with this tripod is that I cannot afford 10 of them lol.

It looks longer than a typical pen laser. That's good enough for me. The smaller version is smaller than one.

Isaac, look through my other pics in my multimedia thread. My smaller case, from Harbour Freight, should work. If you don't have one near you, I'll give you a good deal.

There is one near me...just wondering: do you have a product number? And where did you get your foam padding?

In regards to size:
Height: 7 inches
Length: 8 inches
Distance between legs: 9 inches
Length of legs: 7 inches

Hope that helps :)

I do not have a product number of the small case. I got the foam from my work. I deal with large amounts of smaller sheets of the stuff. Check a sewing/fabric or hobby shop for your foam. I used my laser and a ruler to cut mine!

A quick browse on ebay gives the potential buyer a wide choice for price below 10$:

super clamp | eBay

Bought one myself, it does the job just fine;)

Btw. nice review of an original tripod setup!

Nice find, Gismo! I didn't mind paying a few bucks more to have free shipping and it arriving today.

Awesome! I actually almost bought one of those a couple months ago, but decided against it thinking it wouldn't be able to hold my cameras.

Hadn't thought of it as a laser-holding device... it looks good doing it, too! :D

For a nice case, try a gun shop & ask for a foam lined, hard sided, hand gun case. My holds my JETLASERS PL-E PRO, BATTERIES, & GLASSES & cost ~ $12.00 ! Sorry, don't recall where I bought it. Maybe WalMart. BTW, nice job with the tripod & clamp. Does the clamp have a standard 1/4 - 20 screw on it ? I'd like to get one or more.

The clamp has two different thread sizes. The one goes onto the tripod and the other is a bit bigger and I assume there are bigger tripods that would screw onto. I will definitely check out te gun shop idea!!!

I have a review thread up somewhere about the clamp from amazon when I originally found it. There weresome really sweet looking ones meant tto hold lights for stage lighting that hade two different settings for small or large pipes and then a clamp to clamp it down. They were to pricey IMO. I may pick one up though just to see if it would be better.
