well hello this is my first review. its a black ultrafire wf-501b host. two piece heat sink from a guy named rick trent on ebay. two 800ma led drivers to make 1.6a. and a flamingpyro "bullet" focus ring. and i polished parts of the host cuz i was bored waiting for the drivers and stuff to get to me.

this is where i ground the anodizing away so the ground ring i made makes good contact.

glued in place

then soldered to drivers and to diode leads. i forgot to take pics of the heatsink and i already thermal glued it all together so it wasnt worth taking apart again. but this heatsink is pretty cool. its got a spot machined into one half for the diode to sit right in and then you take the back half and screw it to the front half and it presses the diode into the hole.

drivers taped up so nothing shorts anywhere. and i dont think these little led drivers need to be heat sinked because they never even warm up at about 800ma each

disc and ring to hold the heatsink in place.

all ready to be put together. has plenty of room since the heatsink sits mostly outside the host.

and a pic of it all put together but didnt have the focus ring yet.

and beam shot :) but these are with my phone so theyre not the best i know

and now with my focus ring from flamingpyro. love it but i want one of his tritium ones soon.

looks pretty good for now tho imo. lemme know whatchu guys think.:thanks:

Looking good. I like that you use two 800mA driver. Very cost effective solution. :gj:
+1 rep !
