G'day,
So i had been keen to build these 2 builds for a while, im very happy the way turned out.
I polished up the copper heatsinks so they where nice and shiny then i clear coated the heatsinks to stop them from oxidizing
Firstly used these parts on the Stainless host:
405-G-1 Lens
9mm Copper Module
Thermal Paste between Diode & Heatsink.
9mm BenQ Diode.
Extended and Tapered Copper Heatsink.
Blitzbuck V3 @ ~2A
Battery Extension Tube
Secondly i used these parts on the S4 host:
405-G-1 Lens
3/4" Focus Adapter
9mm Copper Module
Thermal Paste between Diode & Heatsink.
9mm BenQ Diode.
Tapered Copper Heatsink.
Blitzbuck V3 @ ~2.2A
Stainless Battery Extension Tube
GITD O-rings on the body.
In preparation for these high currents, i heat-sunk the drivers IC with a driver heatsink that i cut up with a hacksaw.
I also thermally glued a copper driver heatsink to the pill on both pills, the same as what RyanElectro did:
Yummy photos:
Now these puppies are powerful, i was using a 3 element glass and the LPM was reading over 2W
Stainless peaked at over 2.4W! (on graph it doesnt say 2.4W as is was passed 1min before it made it there)
S4 peaked at 3W
Just these 2 alone, make 5.4W's of power, that is insane!
Beamshot:
Note 1 is using a 405-G-1 and cannot focus fully
Thanks for looking!
Fiddy.
