This laser was in my second package from SKYLaser (laserbtb.com), so I had already dealt with SKYLaser before.
The first time round I got a very nice overspec laser and I was wondering if they could be consistent with the good service.
This time my experience was very similar.
Their customer service was excellent. I communicated with them via Windows Live Messenger.
All my questions/problems were swiftly addressed.
Absolutely no complaints.
At my request, I was sent the measured power output of my laser before it was shipped.
The laser is rated at 1W.
I was happy to see that this laser was outputting a little more than the specified output power. I didn't want it too overspec, as this would effect the duty cycle and diode life. So I was very satisfied with this.
Shipping & Packaging
SKYLaser offer two options for delivery - DHL and EMS.
I, for the second time, went for DHL.
Shipping was fast.
The shipment was picked up on Friday 24th Febuary, and arrived the following Monday - the 27th.
They also gave me a tracking number when it was available.
DHL tracking is very good. It updates the package's location frequently.
It came very well packaged. Here is the box covered with the DHL plastic.

Each laser was protected well with lots of bubble wrap.
I requested a 16340 battery charger, and they sent it with the laser!
It came in a very nice gift box. This is not a cardboard box like those that most cheap lasers come in.
It has spaces for the laser, a battery, and the keys.
The Laser Host
The host is of really good quality, much better than most common lasers.
It's pretty big and feels quite heavy, which is very nice.
Here is the laser besides WickedLasers' 5mW Core.
This laser has an LED indicator.
The LED lights up red when the laser is switched on.
The keys, obviously, are used to lock/unlock the laser.
Warning label.
Aperture shutter (safety feature). Also helps keep the lens free from dust and small particles.
The Laser Output/Beam
This laser is very powerful and bright!
It's my brightest laser after the '300mW' SKYLaser Handheld Green.
Goggles are required with this laser.
This laser has an adjustable focus.
The 4th picture above shows the unfocused beam.
Here is the dot out of focus.
Beam diameter and divergence are as expected from a 1W 450nm laser.
Here is a picture comparing the beams of the 1W Blue laser and Lazerer's 200mW 650nm Red laser.
The SKYLaser 1W 450nm Handheld is much brighter.
The laser beam is very impressive.
And as the laser has an adjustable focus, it has a lot of burning power.

Conclusion
* The customer service from SKYLaser was excellent.
* Shipping was fast. Took around 3 DAYS to get to me in UK from China via DHL.
* The laser body is very solid and sturdy. Superb quality!
* Power is very slightly over specification.
* Very powerful at over 1000mW, this laser burns very well!
* Very good price for the quality/power.
* I would definitely recommend this laser.

Seeing they are still quality, just above spec, and honestly some of the most stable output handheld lasers I've seen makes me want to buy a 473nm from them
