Ok so i know a few goes got these with the most recent group buy but I haven't seen a review done on them yet so I guess i'll do it. This is a HL460 100mw from Skylaser. I really like this little laser. Its not to big or to small, and it's just like my HL532 but alot more stable. For not being that high powered the beam it quite visable and the dot is very round and nice as apposed to a multimode 445nm. Hope you enjoy.

I can't wait to hear "they've shipped" was supposed to have happened yesterday....

:(

My guess is the tracking numbers are coming out after the package is already off to the post office. This time around the shipping is lighting fast... last time I had to wait for over a month.

Thanks for the review. I have almost finished my DIY HL460-100 and I change the power to 250mW. It was easy to set the driver to 350mA and the host is surely big enough to handle the increase output. I have put some paste between the brass module and the host for better thermal transfer. I don't think the factory build has some paste.

Some people where saying that there is a pot that is accessible though the host? If that is the case I want to turn mine up a bit.

Yes the pot is accessible from outside. The hole is obscured by a sticker.
Clockwise for decreasing and CCW for increasing the output, 250mW --> 350mA

Is it under the FDA sticker, i ran my fingernail over the stickes and couldn't find the void in the sticker where the pot is.

Given that this is 460nm, how is the visibility compared to your 445's? Does it look like a different color when you compare the two? I'm interested in it as a WL for my collection.

to me i cant really see a difference in color but the beam specs look alot nicer in this laser over a 445nm simple because its not a multimode diode. for the price i don't think you can go wrong, and I'm sure everyone that got one in the group buy would agree with me on that.

Thanks, and yeah its the kids, this was one of there Christmas gifts and I figured it would get more use in the basement then outside in the winter. I can't wait to have to take it apart to move it outside for summer:(

Yes I've also got green one's on my HL532. going to have to get some Purple and Red for my other wave lengths.
