The first 1 W blue I built was with a c6 aurora host. There are a few people who sell this as a kit or complete laser on the forum.

As for the current, I still am not sure about turning it up. Eudaimonium and some others told me >500 mA is unsafe. Is there a detailed power-mA-Vf graph that I can look at?

hey silveshot...
your diode looks like it could be pushed in a little more.
also about the heat shrink... the diode pin that is connected to the case pin will never look right because of the angle. but to get your positive one straight, use less solder and push it down while you heat it up.

Yes I will bump the current up to 500 mA soon However, I did not solder the case pin to the negative pin :thinking:
I just wired the flexdrive's output to the diode pins because I didn't know how to make the host case negative. Thanks for the tip on the positive pin, but since they were soldered wires the same way, I could make both fit perfect the way you suggested
It's not a big deal anyway, what I wanted to achieve I achieved it. Next time!

haha, youre right. in the heat shrink pic, the neg looks really wide so i just assumed.

It's a lot safer that way.
Makes me want my Saik that's on the way from PA even more

Take an Aixiz back and cut the tail off, so you can see right through it.
Then, the back threads on the module and the press slips inside, which it looks like it *should*.
I'll post a pic in a minute.

Interesting thing about the aixiz back.
Everytime i see a build like this i get more ideas for my own, thanks for the inspiration. Also, i have red that with 405 diodes one needs to recess it further inside the aixiz module because of focusing concerns? However, i am unable to find why exactly this is an issue.
Did you recess yours with that "recessing tool"?
