So ya I didn't feel like re taking pictures from my old review as the laser still looks the exact same in the only thing that changed was the module inside the laser
The reason I had to turn it in under warranty work is because my older laser gave out and would only output 2-300mw occasionally ..... bummer for me as my laser was one of the very few that ever break ....
let me just say though jack is awesome at what he does
anyway on to the new power review
this thin has a 581mw peak with a 478mw avg over 6.4 min or an average of 525 over a 30 second period either way its freaking impressive now and burns anything I love it and tonight I will test the divergence but here is the new power graph

powergraph1.jpg

the only bad thing now is that the divergence of the new laser is about 1.2 at 1cm its 2mm and at 28 feet it's about 1.2cm but that really doesn't matter as with the expander at 1foot its 30mm and at 30 foot its 30mm so it's all good

Well I have here is the mother of all handheld lasers for pointing as I have a RPL 450 with the 30X beam expander :)

Well anyway I will let the pictures speak the rest : )

The adapter that I had made for 50$

I designed it so you never have to remove the adapter cutting down on the time the lens is exposed to dust and the amount

The Fit

Little bit of blue lock tight to keep it from coming off until I want it to : )

wow.. nice big beast :) how did you find a 30x beamexpander for 200$? is it made for 532nm...? i've never understood ..if it is the same fing to use a binoculars or a monoculars :) i tryed to use my binoculars with my 30mw green. in one hole i use my eye...and in the other.. i put the laser :) the beam looks quide large ad your......and YES.. the divergence is VERY VERY LOW....almost true 0mrad. i think you don't trust me.. but it is the reality...:) at a seaport in front of my house.. i can see it (in the real time i shine it with the other hole of binoculars) that is very.. very very small at 650 meter. real 650 meter... and i can say.. it has no more than 0.1 mrad... it is the same initial beam diameter (1,5 centimeter).

the only problem.. is thai ai notice a little waste of power... about 20.. 30% is it normal?
with your expander do you hav the same problem...?maybe this problem exist only with NO DESIGNED lense for 532nm....(how is called a lense that is specifically treated for a precise color/wavelenght?? )

CVI Laser
I have the 09 LBM 017.... these are the professional grade beam expander's made for Wavelength Range 450–750 nm. but ya its basically the same things you're doing it takes the beam and makes it bigger but by making it bigger it cuts down the divergence. plus mine is focusable after 10 meters to infinity witch means now hopefully I can light that match at 40m : ) and pop a balloon at 100m
well you figure 5% per piece of glass for a un coated lens and I would image they have 4-6 lenses in mirrors inside a pair of binoculars
the AR coated or anti reflection coated lenses are made for a cretin wave length
I got mine for 200$ on e bay : ) when nobody was looking and they were liquidating a company
