So how much is 1100 gram's :thinking: I think that would be
2.4 pounds that's close but not enough, I'll not say now and
see if some one comes up with the exact number in pounds
and ounces as would be read on postal scales ;)

It left here today so jmillerdoc will have it in a couple days.

The weight of the host with batteries is 600gms...add the 2.5 lb sink and I think you're looking at closer to 3 lbs 10 oz....give or take an ounce.

Jeff, did you include the weight of the focus adapter too?

That is pure epicness :)

The only downside would be, it would probably break something if you drop it.

It weighed in at 2 pounds 15.6 ounces on the scale at the post office :D
That is with 3ea 18650 cells and the focus adapter.

That is one sweet piece of work! Sorry to hear that you killed your mini-lathe... Did you aneal that copper billet before you started working it, or go cold turkey?

No annealing, it was machined just as it came from the supplier so it will be as hard as possible and that is more difficult to machine but gives a better product for what I know about it, I have only had one semester of metallurgy at Olympic College but many years of metal butchering with a lathe and mill in the shipyard :eg:

That finish wouldn't last long. Without protection it will become dull within months. And fingerprints will make it worse because it will react to copper.
