Here is a small review of the 650nm Rifle laser from Lazerer.com. link
For those who don't know, this laser's design was copied from the WL S3 series, but it is a bit smaller.

Ordering:
This laser arrived in Southern California exactly 11 days after placing the order on their website.
Sept 9: Placed order
Sept 9: Order confirmation email received (auto response)
Sept 11: Order status: processing (the Monday after order was placed) quote from email; "Confirmed that your payment is received. Your laser is arranged to be test and will be send out within 3 business days. Thanks again for purchasing from us. You will receive another email once your item is shipped."
Sept 13: Order Status: shipped
quote from email; "Your order is on its way. Depending on where you live, your order will usually take 14-20 business days to arrive (we ship from Hong Kong)."
Sept 20: Received Laser via USPS at my home in the Los Angeles area. Had to sign for it and hand-print my address for USPS.
-So, exactly 11 days from the day I placed my order. I think it would have been faster, but I placed my order on a Friday.-

The Laser:
The laser came with a box and the extra lens kit, but did not come with a battery:


It uses protected 18650 batteries (left in picture below). A non-protected (shorter) battery (right in picture below) will not work (unless a spacer is used):

The laser has a reverse-clicky tail button:

It fits nicely in the hand (as it is a bit smaller than the arctic):

The sticker seems to be facing the side rather than the front, but it does identify the power and laser color (200mW - 650nm):

The laser is fully focusable and has a very smooth feel while focusing (tight, no wobble, stays put when adjusted):

Also, the 4 extra-lenses are simply diffraction grating lenses, and the stock one is just a cap with no protective lens at all. (see box photo above, bottom right in box for extra lenses).
Looks like 650nm color red compared to a Dilda (660nm) or a Rayfoss 200mW waterproof (660nm), but I have no means to test the exact wavelength, so I will just assume that it is 650nm in color. However, the beam seems to come out at roughly 2 degrees off of center (barely noticeable):


I tested this laser on my laserbee I and it peaked at 266mW on a fresh 18650 (~4.2v), and held steady at 260mW for over 2 minutes without the host getting warm at all.

So, for about $80, it is slightly expensive for a 200mW 650nm. But, the host design, being ~30% overspec, and arriving in 11 days make it worth it. I will surely order from Lazerer.com again.

I was eyeballing that laser for a while now. Thinking, if I get bored of red, take it apart and make whatever I feel like making that afternoon.

Looks like a great laser anyway, and excellent review. Just one thing, can you measure the current draw of the laser? Oh and one more thing, a close up on the lens assembly up front? So I can see how the focusing mechanism is done, are lens changeable etc etc.

I haven't gotten it apart enough to see the driver board, and if you look down the battery tube all you see is a spring surrounded by a foam rubber insulating ring.
I don't think you can get to the driver.

Did the batteries come with the laser on the same day?

This laser did not come with a battery at all. Glad I had a spare protected 18650 battery.

It would be good to see how these come when assembled.

I have a empty host here... and it looks like the diode is mounted in a large brass heatsink. The driver is then attached directly to the diode pins then it has a spring to make contact to the battery.

I was just about to place my order for the same laser.but i did see on their website there is a 300mw 650nm red rifle coming soon! so im going to hang-on for a while until they have them in stock.But i do have a question in which i hope you can give me the answer.
What is the range of that rifle at night?
Can you focus that into infinity,example> 1km away and focus the dot on a far away building?

The new rifle they are putting out is 638nm so it will be quite a bit more expensive but will be heaps more visible. The mitsubishi 638nm diodes don't have very good divergence/beamspecs at all and they are more like a line so im not too sure how big the dot (line) will be at 1km

I didn't get glasses with mine, but they have two different kinds of glasses:
these (probably not very good): Beginner Safety Goggles for 405nm / 445nm Laser
and these (likely good): T-REX Laser Safety Goggles for 650nm Red Laser

Can you recommend any high power laser pointer that has good divergence over a long distance (Km's) 532nm or 650nm under $300usd £170 uk pounds.So many lasers & companies out there i prefer to go with laserpointerforum recommendations.

A machinist by trade and knowing that olike sells all the components before getting too far ahead of myself was hoping you would be able to reccomend or reveiw their power meter. They only have the one and it's within my price range. Thx again for sending me to Olike. It turned a frustrating cat and mouse game with bogus web sites and Canada customs into a new hobby. I wouldn't get that expensive meter at o-like unless you have a lot of money.
I would recommend a laserbee (at least 2.5W) or a radiant Alpha if you can find it.
