I picked up this laser a few days ago, I thought it would feel like plastic but the host is nice and solid, feels like a smooth rock.
the color is darker than i expected also, like led
peaks 235mw and 215mw avg according to faona before the shipment

It runs on 18650's and protected batteries fit nicely.
Batteries and a charger came with this laser

The duty cycle is 2 minutes on and 5 seconds off, which is nice but I think its more than that since I had it on for along time and didn't feel that hot.

I removed the white sticker on the top, and surprisingly I found that you can add a star lens cap to it which fits perfectly

This laser is focusable and great for burning, I also tested that it is waterproof.
Sadly this laser came with an o-ring that was about to snap, thats located on the focusing part of the laser, now my laser is no longer waterproof and the focusing is very loose without the o-ring. But I asked Faona and she shipped me some o rings which should arrive in a week or so.

I recommend this laser if you are looking for a red one, its made of good quality :yh: My camera isn't good at taking beam shots so unfortunately I don't have any. Rayfoss has a 1watt 445nm version of this laser so expect something like this

You guys know a good camera for taking pictures of laser beams?

You'll have better luck with beam shots in a darker room, obviously. Although red is probably the hardest color to get good beam shots with. Some people on this site will blow some fog around the room first, which will always give great beam shots (although if its part of a review they should always tell if they used fog/smoke or even smacked a pillow to get some dust in the air (which does work) or else people will think that picture of the beam is normal for that laser.

Also, I just had a good idea - if possible, whenever anyone takes a beam or dot picture for a review, they should also switch on a 5mw green for comparison.

I say this because pretty much everyone has (or had) a 5mw green at some point so it's a very common reference point.

Beam or dot shots without a frame of reference aren't very helpful in a review. So even if someone DID fill their room with fog before taking the beam shots, if they also had a 5mw green running next to it everyone could see the comparison and have a much better idea of what the review laser is really like.
