As some of you may know, I recently traded with Thejoker301 (owner of Sci-Fi Lasers) for one of his SF501B 445nm 1W+ lasers. I gave him a bunch of custom decals and he sent me a laser
Communication with him was very smooth. He responded to every question or concern I had throughout the process.
Now on to the laser! It's in a 501b host, with "Sci-Fi Lasers" etched into the side. It uses an M140 diode with a buck driver set to 1.25A, and a 3-element lens. I'm using 2x Ultrafire 16340 batteries and the output power is 1060mW! The laser came with a power graph showing this output, and it was taken with a Laserbee I believe. I'll measure it myself when my LPM comes in later this week and update the info if necessary :yh:
The build quality is amazing... Feels very solid when you're holding it. The only issue I had was that something was rattling when I shook it. I asked Thejoker what the problem was, and he said it was just the lens moving, and he offered a solution. Good thing it wasn't anything else rattling!
Overall this laser is amazing and I would highly recommend you buy your next laser from Sci-Fi Lasers. Great prices, too!
Below are some pics of the laser, some videos of it burning stuff, and even a few shots where I had fun with the shutter speed
I'll upload beamshots when it gets dark outside. I have some on my phone but they just aren't very good
Here ya go!
