Green + Red. This picture was taken at about 12 feet away from the laser, notice the separation of green and red.

Having used the projector for a few parties I was impressed already, but after taking the time tonight to realign both dicros it's blooming perfect now!

If you flick dips 1-7 up it goes into a test mode which cycles (by tapping the mic) through R, G, B, W as a static point and then a 7 colour segmented circle. Makes lining everything up a doddle :)

You mean.. Dip switch 1 and 7 ON and the rest OFF and it goes in test mode?

I tried on mine without any special result. dip ! ON = auto-beam... dip 1 and 7 = auto beam anyway...

Nope, dip switches 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 on and 8,9,10 to off should do it :)

Discovered totally by accident!

OK ok... but to work i had to put on also the switch 9

on mine it's:

dip switches 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 9 on and 8,10 to off

seem perfect to align all the 3 lasers for better colors...

it seem that the guy that assembled mine was lazy a bit:friend:

It is not perfect since i aligned them.

the red is way more divergent than the rest

the green is the less divergent and the blue seem to be a vertical line of medium divergence...

It'd be nice if there were some consistency. Stuff like having a lock-key system in COCONUT's projector would be nice to have in general, buy Guyfromhe's doesn't have it.

Anyone seen this offer: is this a
new RGB laser from Dinodirect? (140$ with shipping included) would be nice harvest unit or upgrade-buy

LOL they just made the REKE 500 more expesive to cover their 20% sale!!!

I was talking to Reke because I would expect better consistency from them... I have not heard back.. There also wasn't any interest in a group buy so meh.

The Reke is the same price as it's always been.. $249... We all used discount codes to get ~$50 off.

Might be worth while for harvesting, it doesn't really offer any connectivity options for anyone who wants to do more than sound mode and it probably has steppers rather than galvos.

After a week with no activity reported from DD about my order I submitted a "feedback" report. This is what I sent :
"I am worried that the product I have ordered and paid for is not as you advertise. Since placing my order there has been a change in the "specifications" listing for the product BUT the main listing still claims to have that feature.
Other members of LPF have begun to receive there orders and some indicate that their product DOES NOT include a very important part of the listing and sale.
I would like some confirmation from DinoDirect that the item they sell is as they list it !
SKU:A0879000OM
300mw 650nm Red Laser & 80mw 532nm Green Laser & 300mw 450nm Blue/RGB Full Color Laser Light/DJ Equipment(Auto & Sound &DMX& ILDA PC)RGB-500
The important "ILDA" PC interface is a major selling point. If it is not part of the item then DinoDirect has committed fraud and is involved in activities that are deemed illegal in North America.
It would be a shame for the company to become BANNED from sales to North America for bad business practices.
Please contact me concerning this important point !"

I did not receive any reply or indication that they even received it BUT...
This morning my email account had 3 messages from DD in it.
Among them, one confirmed the shipping, one showed me pictures of the packing being done (yeah another $1.50 charge but I can see exactly how it has been packed) and the third is just a coupon offer. All three dated today !
Still no formal reply. But suddenly a surge in activity to get my order filled and out the door so they can't cancel the order without charging me now.
Sneaky !
So now I wait to see what happens next, without getting any sort of expectation up.

Yeah, DD doesn't seem to get the message about their mislabeled products. I don't know if it's just their strategy or what. I got them to give me a $90 gift card, and so I got some other Reke for about half the cost of the shipping (with $20 coupon). So I guess I'll have some sort of Reke branded projector, even if it isn't the one I wanted (no, this doesn't have IDLA either).

100mW 650nm Red Laser 40mW 532nm Green Laser 150mW 405nm Violet Laser RGB Show Special Effects DJ Equipment Auto Sound Stage Laser Light Projector Mini-10RGB - DinoDirect.com

I figure it'll have the beam-combining hardware which is what I'm after. The lasers might be decent too, who knows?

This'll probably be the last thing I get from DD. They run such a sleazy joint. Even those reviews are ridiculously faked. I've been spoiled with DX. They do Hong Kong-based sales right.

Edit:

Ideas: that's the one I got with my $90 gift card. Hopefully it arrives intact. I'll let you know how it is once (if) I get it.

I had the EXACT same problem with the RGB-500 SKU:A0879000OM projector ( the version that is supposed to be labeled L-86 from RUBY laser and that is 300mW blue and 20K scanners

The title say:
300mw 650nm Red Laser & 80mw 532nm Green Laser & 300mw 450nm Blue/RGB Full Color Laser Light/DJ Equipment(Auto & Sound &DMX& ILDA PC)RGB-500

So it MUST have the ilda connector and card!.. but it just dont!!.. I wrote to dinodirect and i spoke with dinodirect at cs-center@dinodirect.com and here is what answer i received:

Dear stefspk@hotmail.com
Thanks for contacting us. We do regret for the mess and trouble. We have connected our related department and got a reply that this item does not have a ILDA port. We would like to offe a $30 giftcard as compensation. Will that be ok? Looking forward to your reply. Have a nice day!

they said 30$ !!!! and Bionic-Badger had 90$ offer..

BTW.. guess what... the 500RGB SKU:A0879000JL is now specified with 5K scanners:mad:.. when i bought the 500RGB SKU:A0879000JL it was specified 10K:thinking::mad:

RRRRrrrr:mad:

Well as I stated on another thread here, my unit arrived.
They used their own choice of carrier, they did not label it as directed, it was delivered to the wrong department here at work, they opened it to check it out before contacting me, etc.
CONS :
The unit does not have the advertised port. The unit uses stepper motors. The projection comes out at 30-45 degrees from perpendicular of the front. The supplied power cord is WAY below spec. The supplied power cord is coming apart. The "Chinglish" photocopied operators manual.
PROS :
The unit operates surprisingly quietly. Nice colors. Lots of included pre-programmed graphics that project very well.(No distortions or noticeable artifacts.)
Other NOTES :
The lasers in mine are quite well aligned. Slight separation of the colors when projected 30+ feet but then I expected this. The individual beam characteristics are actually pretty good for the products. Shapes are as most similar products would be. Blue is a bit rectangular. Red isn't as small as green and a little distorted to one side. The regular deviations for these things when you do the research.
I haven't had time to pop it open for inspection and possible correction.
All in all, so far, a good entry level platform that will just meet my needs for a New Years party beamshow.
This unit and some club-style LED lights mounted in the back of my truck...Start
up the truck @ 11:55, plug in a 100watt inverter, set off some old fireworks, project the laser & lights into/through the smoke upwards, and voila...portable laser light show in 5 minutes. Low key but fun for a small group of old friends and our kids.

I haven't determined the approach yet for going back to DD.
That is still pending.

Well

I opened a paypal case this afternoon about the missing ILDA port and asked for 125$ refund ( knowing that they would offer lower than i ask), and finally got an offer for 80$ refund.;)

I Accepted... the case will be closed as soon as i get the refund.

I will look for an ILDA interface to add to the RUBY L-86 projector ( RGB-500 from dinodirect)
