Pins 14 thru 25 on the DB25 are -ground ,all --- Correct?

Interlock B (pin 17) should be connected to Interlock A (pin 4) at the signal source. Other than that one, tie them to ground.

Buying one of those 500-RGBs too. I figure that, even if I'm not so satisfied with its performance I can always upgrade it with other parts. Hell, $270 for a 300mW projector? Hell yeah!

That looks right to me... I haven't had a chance to post anything lately.

Yea it's a great projector for the $$ I will probably try and upgrade too at some point.

DJ Equipment 1000mw 532nm Green Party Stage Projector Laser Light SKYRAG-1(1000G) - DinoDirect.com
i have been looking for a new green to replace my 200mw.
and for the price to get 1w?
even if its half and its 500mw, thats not a bad deal.
What do you guys think?

It's probably fine... 1 W of green seems like an awful lot though...
The description on the page is clearly wrong... That thing looks like a space ship

and the shipping is huge. 200$ to ship.
Im thinking of buying it but it better be 1W green laser.
1W green laser for 400$ is a steal.
add a nice enclosure and lcd screen i think it may be cheaper from now on to buy these china projectors and just add.

I decided to use my Reke 500 to add to my halloween decorations this year, but unfortunately not the way I wanted to because I dont have a DAC card, ILDA connector or software to program it yet. If I did I would've projected skulls, pumpkins, burning zombies, ect onto the side of my garage - which would've been awesome when setup correctly & safely for all the halloweenies. Instead I decided to run the laser on demo mode & have it shoot across our cemetery from about 4' above the ground down to your feet. Because of this angle none of the patterns were really distinguishable all spread out across my front lawn, but I still had a colorful beamshow & a lot of compliments on how it looked! Here's a few pics.....

View from my driveway across the street. There was no wind for us on the 31st so I was fogging the hell out of my front yard. You can see in this pic that the fog traveled everywhere, the lights in the distance show the fog made it all the way across the park on the other side of the street.


I made sure when setting this up that at no point could any kid walk into the projection of the beam by limiting the pattern size. The area where someone could get an eyefull of RGB was restricted by a makeshift iron fence installed to surround our graveyard. It worked out perfectly, not once did anyone try 'seeing the light' in ways they should not have.

This also slowed down traffic several times (normal for our house on halloween b/c we go all out) and brought the attention of several passing police cars throughout the night. None of them stopped or questioned me about the laser when they saw it, and I know this is because (1) they already know I own several high powered handhelds which I've unofficially registered with them and (2) because the beam patterns were never projected high enough above the ground to hit the street or distract the general public enough for it to be a concern. I am guessing of course, but I also set it up this way in confidence that it wouldn't be a problem. :beer:

Looks good... As long as it was at ground level by the time it got outside the gate area you are probably OK... Even a kid would have to go to great effort to get the beam in their eyes.
Good work with the blocking off the area with that creepy looking gate...

I did a show on some trees at a BBQ in the summer and you could see the shapes from way back but most people were sitting around the fire under said trees so all you really saw was crazy moving colored dots... Plus some people sitting towards the projector could see the beam and the fog I had going on. It was up about 30 feet and laterally about 100 or so feet so it was pretty safe (the bottom of my projections were 10' and top was about 50' on the trees) also I didn't have my Reke at that point and my other projector doesn't have that much power output.


EDIT: also my Pangolin gear left Vancouver on Thursday, so expect some new videos with QS/fb3 soon!

once shipped (Friday) it went fast as hell, and i had great luck: delivered by DHL
so i only paid 30 bucks tax at the door :angel:

Sweet! Did you try it out yet?

I got mine via DHL and it only took 3 days..I only paid $15 duty/tax on it.

Could only test the demo/pattern mode, cuz my Audio DAC has still a bug...

the Blanking fails and it does the wrong colors. i tried to switch every kind of channel in the ezaudac.ini but without effort. so it must be soldered wrong somewhere...
