REVIEW of NEW ARRIVAL at Jetlasers-- Ti-B 445/300 exclusive

Re: NEW ARRIVAL at Jetlasers-- Ti-B 445/300 exclusive

I guess we will need to wait and see what happens.
I tried to contact Jet, but no reply yet (by forum and company email), they are busy so Im sure they will get back to me later when they have time, IIRC the laser didn't come with batteries, and I see that it was rated on the label at <1mw.... hopefully that will be enough.

Thanks for all your help Hak answering my previous questions.

Re: NEW ARRIVAL at Jetlasers-- Ti-B 445/300 exclusive

...but............ only 300mw? i think that host can do 1000mw
I think I know what you mean- the host looks like it should be one big heatsink, but in reality Gray sez it has a small heatsink(his words)

--this one of the areas where JETLASERS differs from some other companies- it goes along with shorter than 'normal' duty cycles(better than exaggerated duty tme)- all being on spec or in some laser greatly overspec, and, in this case NOT claiming that entire host IS on big heatsink--while I have no doubt that the heatsink inside makes contact with Ti host and it DOES look like it should be able to handle a full watt- JETL makes it as a 300- which is plenty bright IMO

and surely has a longer battery life before recharging is needed. I have been using it quite a bit and have not recharge the batteries yet. And the added plus of a longer diode life too!

Will JETL eventually offer a 445nm Ti-B is a higher output?- maybe so, I do not,at this time, know.

Okay I just metered it with these used batteries-peaks almost 345mWs and does not drop below 330mWs.:D

EDIT UPDATE...........
Quick important note

While some kind of sticker etc to keep dust out of the opening in theTi-b and PL-D(or for that matter any laser with nothing in place to keep dust out) may be a good idea... be VERY sure you take it off BEFORE entering the code- the PL-D laser is not as easy or quick to shut down and you can smoke the sticker real fast- I am rethinking even using one. I had a close call with my 445/1W PL-D. If come across a better way I will share it- you plz do same.
Maybe a plastic slide-on cap-- you could make a small hole in the center and JB Weld a small piece of the JETL glass diff grate over the hole- dual purpose.

BUMPING to make finding easier-- the present GB is moving into the next phase-time to make choices..TY

interested in a Ti-B 532? contact Gray asap about this model.

Hi Len thanks a lot for these info.
The battery for 532nm ti b green lasers is LC14500(900MAH, 3.6V), other than the regular 2x cr123a/16340 batteries for 405nm/445nm Ti B. I hope this rechargable 14500 battery is easy to get in US. :)

I go past the LightHound store monthly on my trips to AixiZ- to stock up on batts and drool over the hostlights- I always bring some of my collection to show off to the guys there.
They seemed a little surprized about the fact that we turn many of them into lasers..

For cost + shipping I am willing to pick up any chargers-14500s, 16340, etc or any other battery they carry=-PM me If I can be of help- stopping by there on Tue(tomorrow) They are not as cheap as China but much quicker.(and nice folks to deal with too) They also sell on-line. You can find their prices there.

Just an added note--good run times on the batts-- This laser is working just fine- no loss in power- perfect size to carry at all times. Several more were just ordered for GB #6 so we should be seeing some new reviews. thanks Gray and JetL ---you guys rock.

Re: NEW ARRIVAL at Jetlasers-- Ti-B 445/300 exclusive

Great review and great product. JETLASERS should be proud of them selves!

I really love this host... I got so jealous when I saw this pic...

Ok- You can see by this^^^ photo that the diamonds are nicely made perfect little diamond shaped base pryamids with just enough taken off thier tops to make for a comfortable grip. And note that they are the same from end to end and all the way around.. below some more pics of the same laser.

I have been told these are not the easiest knurlings to do (in Ti especially)

and we all will agree that no one person or company is perfect.

One of the Ti-B from the last GB got inspected and re-shipped by me... and I failed to examine the knurling well enough. I failed and am regret this.
I have seen close-ups and the knurling is not the same. This stands out all the more when compared with the rest of it and the other Ti-Bs from JETLASER.

This has just been brought to Grays attention hours ago and I expect he will do, as always, and reply quick and take care to fix this.

Just wanted to put this out there. :o

JETLASERS Gray replied the next day(13 hrs diff) and he will do whats needed to make all happy.

Coming soon!!
Pl-C and D 'Pro' with active cooling and three min. on 30 sec. off cycling or better.
And no difficult code to enter. Key in middle/ push on /off on tailcap. All can be focused(unlike old Pl-D). AFAIK these can be ordered modified to be able to remove the key in both on or off. I hope they toned down the blue LED 'on' light- too bright IMO. I carry mine with led pointing down.
afaik

Prices and review ASAP.
hak

Hang on the your Ti-Bs- eventually a rarity.

EDIT UPDATE**************

http://www.jetlasers.net/Productssub.aspx?id=79

FROM JETL Site:

PL-D pro is the upgraded version of the PL-D portable laser model and PL-D Pro continues with Superwitch of activation codes but succeeds in making the code much easier to use. A long hold can get the laser beam turned on instantly. No brainer. No worries any more.

The internal thermopile detector equipped inside brings about the thermoelectric cooling that enables the PL-D Pro to operates at a 100% duty cycle on batteries. When excess heat is detected, It will autolowers the operating current to ensure temperature stabilization and avoid burning out the diode.

Like other Jetlasers portable series, PL-D Pro lasers at 532nm and 473nm are also IR filtered for the sake of both safety and genuine output power.

pretty cool(pun intended) too bad i dont see one there for 473nm(sorry aryntha)
or yellow either..

Here are some new night pics of the 100mW 532 Jetlaser Ti-B 14500.
smoke from my pit.

Its a damn nice laser- cycle of 3 min on and 2 min off .
A fully charged battery lasts a long time between charges.
The last of them are available via a side buy in JL GB #8.
No more than 20 will be sold= about half of those are spoken for.

Going at a reduced from $199.usd to $159.99 for laser only.
Post in the OP or PM me to get om the list- we hope to be collecting the funds soon.
About half are built and the rest are being finished.
No other wavelengths or mW can be gotten also none will be sold as hosts.
