Default Review: Lasever 473nm 10mW module

Ever since I saw a blue laser in a catalog I have wanted one but at $800 the price
was to insane but when I first stumbled on this site I found cheaper ones.
So after months of research I finally found one that I was both satisfied with and had a affordable price for mi budget
It was 10mW for only $220 I couldn't resist
REVIEW

After I purchased it I could hardly wait for it to arrive. It took only 5 days to arrive in Virginia but do to bad weather it was not delivered for another day
so when I finally got it I immediately opened it and plugged it in.
I was absolutely amazed at the brilliant blue dot it produced.
Transverse mode
When first turned on it goes through several Transverse modes as it warms up it starts out as TEM10 and after 18 seconds turns to TEM20 before slowly merging together to become TEM00

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hermite-gaussian.png

Mi Impression
When I first plugged it in the dot was huge so I had to focus it myself which did not take long.
After it warms up it produces a brilliant beautiful blue beam

Whats also cool about it is that even tho it was made in china nowhere on it does it say so
When a laser has the words made in China written on it it makes it look so tacky

Cool laser! I presume the specs are from the mfg? Do you have a meter, and also, did you measure the divergence? -Glenn

No meter yet
The divergence is what ever you set it to as for its adjustable
I'm still fine tuning it
Yes specs are from the manufacturer.

All I did was cut to the chase. I asked some laser companies what there cheapest 473nm laser product was

Boblaser--- BOB-B20DN 1pcs 20-35mw 473nm USD$295 with double temperature control (excellent price but does not due PayPal)

CNI--cheapest 473nm laser is laser pointer GLP-473/5mW USD250.00/pc (also no PayPal)

Lasever-- lowest price is $220 for the 10mW LSR473NL (accepts PayPal) SOLD
that was how I did it

Also to aryntha If you want to guarantee a laser get to you without damage use DHL

sadly lasever make very poor lasers, which is a real shame.

i have 4 lasever lasers -

500mw 532nm
350mw 635nm
100mw 473nm
100mw 532nm

i want to love lasever but in reality the lasers dont last very long. both my 100mw blue and 100mw green have been back for repair.

i hope you have better luck

This could very well become my first blue as well. Great deal.

Personally, I'd ask Viasho or CNI to match the lasever price. Even if they are close the quality s/b better. -Glenn
