This is a review of the Dealextreme Focusable 200mW 405nm Blue-Violet/Royal Purple Laser Pen.

The most important part - My Radiant Shades:
This laser is hard to look at inside without laser goggles and is probably bad for your eyes to boot.
GET LASER GLASSES BEFORE YOU BUY ANY LASER ABOVE 5 mW!!!
The unit does not come with any sort of box but just comes wrapped in bubble wrap. It does not include batteries.

The switch is a clicky style on/off switch:
The unit unscrews from the back to install the batteries (+ side touching the driver's spring):
The unit takes 2xCR2 batteries (not included):

The unit seems quite well constructed, It's made of metal and the threads seem decent.
The clicky rear cap screws off, the focusing lens can screw off and the driver / laser module / heat sink can unscrew from the body.
The unit gets a little warm after being on for a few minutes but does not get hot. The finger test gets uncomfortable after about 1-2 seconds (when focused) and it will cut through electic tape, and burn dark plastic as well quite quick and easily when focused. When unfocused it makes a fairly large block of light and can light up a room like a flashlight.
The unit will start matches on fire very quickly, pop baloons almost instatly and burn CD cases all it takes is a little work focusing it.
The dot (when focused) is quite small and doesn't seem too badly scattered. You can't really see the beam even in the dark. The spot when unfocused isn't that hard to look at but when focused it is extremely bright.
Power output seems fairly stable but I have not ran it long enough to kill a set of batteries.
I do not have a power meter so I can't tell you anything about the power output but it's definitely under spec.
I paid under $30 for this laser so I think it was a pretty good deal considering how well it burns for the price.
It doesn't have any safety features (interlocks, or key switches) so make sure you keep it somewhere safe as it looks like any other low power laser to muggles)
If you want something cheap to get started with this is a great place to start. DO NOT FORGET THE SAFETY GLASSES THEY ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!
