Hello.
Long time since I made a review so here is a review on the E3 532nm 300mW from WickedLasers. From the date that I placed the order to the date that I got it was in total 4 days sent with regular airmail.. (Why do I in Sweden always receive things like 10x faster the US citizens?) Not bad for being WL.
PROS:
- Very good beam quality
- Nice finish
- Fast shipping
- Nice customer support (only one of the assistants, a girl named Jeice Cruz)
- You get a nice holster
- Smooth tailcap
- Sexy host (oooooh how can I explain it.. it's so beautiful..)
- LED indicator, not really useful, but a cool pro.
CONS:
- The other customer service people are not as nice.
- Didn't come with batteries.
- No bubble wrap or anything.. Could easily have been damaged
- Underspec for sure
- The safety pin is hard to take out, and if you succeed, it will probably break.
This laser is a great green laser, even though it's underspec. I don't have a LPM but I know for sure it is underspec. It can light a match (however, it has to be high quality matches bought from stores, and no colored chinese, only red with black mark (you make it) and original black matches), pop balloons easily, and so on but I can see that it is not even 200mW.
I wouldn't recommend buying the 300mW, I recommend the 200mW version. I know two people with the 200mW laser and both of their lasers are the same as mine when it comes to power.. It seems they send out the 200mW laser even though you order the 300mW.. $100 straight down their pockets. But that is just my guess..
BUT, it can also be the batteries. I don't have any high quality AAA's at home and the batteries in the laser are just ordinary IKEA batteries that have been in use for roughly 7 months on a remote control, before I took them out and put them in the laser. SO it can be something with the batteries, they could be discharged (the remote control was getting slow the last days aswell) and the batteries aren't the best quality. I don't have any new batteries at home and I don't know how to check the voltage of batteries so (can I do it with a DMM?) yeah..
And now.. Pictures:
The laser..
The manual..
Safety information..
The laser..
Size comparision, from left to right. Keychain red laser, dilda, newwish pen, E3, E2, Spartan,
Beam.. (I'd estimate it's 10x brighter in reality)
Same thing..
Again..
As said, it could be the batteries. They have been used for a long time and they aren't the best quality originally either.. The beam+dot is about 10x times brighter in reality. I'm only using my mobile camera when taking these pics, I wish I had money for a better camera, but I hope that is enough.
I wish I could meter the laser, but I don't have a LPM and I just put all my money on some diodes and other stuff. Just if there was anyone close to Stockholm in Sweden.
Good bye
This laser was and still is for sale, so if you are interested, just tell me. If you have a LPM and you are interested, we could probably get to a price per mW so that you don't have to pay a lot if it's more underspec then I had expected. Or we could do a normal deal, and if it for example doesn't reach 150mW, you can just send it back and get a refund.
Thank you and have a good day! :eg:
Why doesn't the pics work? Going to the links works but they don't show here.. Strange.
