Necro warning, but worth another look... Why don't we have more threads like this anymore?

If I had to guess, it's because threads like this have already been done for most of the popular products out there. We haven't had anything truly new come out in a while, so nobody feels like writing a long review thread. If an affordable consumer 561/488nm came out there would probably be a ton of quality review threads,

Well, I was thinking in more general terms, just seems slow in the forum for great new posts on any subject, with few exceptions.

Congrats Bruce. I couldn't be happier with my 589 Spartan as well. That is one laser I will never part with. Mine has almost the exact same power graph as yours. It's peaked in the high 80's before if the battery is super freshly charged. That pic of yours close up of the beam exiting the host is awesome!

But but .. it doesn't have beam variances, voltage diversions, flux jiggawatts and einsteins theory of relativity reproduced on the thread! Sure every user in the market wants one of these, and isn't at all simply interested in whether it works at the rated power

I should have bought that one in the BST section here with the beam expander from LaserChick, it was listed for weeks.
