As long as the lens fits in an AixiZ module then it will work, The main point for swapping it out is to go from acrylic to glass which from the description is correct. The only thing that gets me is the "diode type" at the bottom (and the pictures). It lists the diode as TO-18 (i believe is infrared) and the pictures look compiles from to different lens types. The side shot of the lens looks to be the correct brass and then the bottom appears to be the acrylic

I would get a lens from here --->Glass Lens

As far as the wire goes, Its much easier to desolder the wire and resolder after the mod is complete ;)

Any more questions feel free to post :)

if its acrilic i will return it for sure. but if the specs are corect
"Supports laser diodes 400-700nm range, up to 1W" it should work. i was not sure that 12x30mm size housing fits with the host, and "Broadcaster up to 97%" should increase its output a bit, as far as i know acrilic broadcasts up to 90%.

regarding the wire, i will desolder it from the driver for sure, but if it breakes from the battery spring while opening or closing the housing it there a way to solder that wire back in place ? it is a verry small hole in there and i dont think is enough room for the soldering gun.

I'm not really sure why its $65.00, if you want a high peformance lens I would get one of jayrob's 405-g1 lenses (proven perfomance and a little cheaper) but if you want a regular glass lens I would suggest getting one form qumefox (he is a good seller as well ;) )

The wire, I think that it is just hotglued into place. If it does break off you can probably remove it and just resolder it. I will tear mine apart again to take a closer look for you ;)

it is much easy for me to order from this store here, and i believe its a high performance lens. it takes 1 day for shipping and allmost free transport. it takes around 15-20 working days from US to Romania for shipping and around 40$. so il go the easy way.

regarding the wire, thank you for helping out. the driver side if the wire is easy task, but the problem is that the soldering gun's tip dose not fit trough that hole so i would not be able to resolder it to the spring board in case it breakes from there.
I really like this laser and i want to prevent anny scenario that could lead to permanent damage :)

10x again

If he's in romania i'd suggest him order the lenses from rayfoss instead actually.. I only ship internationally via trackable means, which jacks the price up considerably. So for something like 1 lens.. It's not really worth it getting it from me.

Sure did ;) Sorry for not posting it. I'll add some pictures for you here within the next few minutes.

Basically when you take it apart the postive spring contact is held in by some very weak glue. You can push this part out pry the little epoxied spring off. Once you pull it out you can have accesss to solder to the spring if it breaks off.

hy again !

today I changed the lens on my 1W rifel 445, and gues what happened ... yes, the wire from the spring broke ! i just did as u told me and i managed to put it back together the way it was.

i have 1 last questions tough :D

the rectangular "dot" with the old lens is now more like a line with the new lens. why is that?

but the most important thing is that it is ALOT more powerfull now. if i try to compare it with the power it had with the stock lens, i would say it is about 30-40% more powerfull now. it smokes wood in <1 second without focus. it pierces a CD case in < 3 seconds. this is insane ! :) i hope i didnt damaged somehow the driver or the diode. i didnt spin the pot from the driver. i just unscrewed the heatsink (it was alot of thermal paste in there), replaced the lens, screwed back the heatsink, put back the thermal paste, soldered back the wire to the spring, and thats it. its ALOT more powerfull !

i am verry verry satisfied with this mod ! i think it outputs somewere around 1.2W at least!

10x for helping Ra1nfade !
