That is after modifications to mine ;)

The 1W you she is after our reveiws to bring the power up and on the website it shows <950mW. If you can, I would highly suggest waiting to see what the revised units are outputting in power. A few members have the revised version ordered for reveiw.

hey how much would a G1 lens cost?
and would it be pretty easy to swap them out? (screw out, screw in)
or would it be safer just to send it to someone like you to mod it for us? :)
thanks

How do you manage to disassemble the laser. Is it necessary to heat, which part is unscrewed?
And after how to change the acrylic lens? :thanks:

The barrel twists apart from the base (where the fins end). It is not necessary to heat any parts to make them come loose. There ARE two little spots of epoxy though. One is one the lens (from the outside of the laser) and the other on the inside on the Heatsink threads.

After unthreading the HS from the barrel you will be able to see the lens. It then just unsrews and you can screw anouther in its place ;)

If you are not confident about tearing your laser down to do this upgrade I would not attempt it. (Just don't want you to take it apart and not have a working laser afterwords ;) ) The acrylic lens is fine for a short amount of use just be aware that in the long run if it melts that you will also have to replace your diode as well.

Yes. Those are the same lenses as I carry, and they're identical to the ones aixiz sells as well.
