Default quick review on the dirty cheap 'ebay' dark green glasses

hello everybody i recently bought those dirty cheap laser glasses for the blue violet wavelengh and i feel that i want to share the results with you.

i bought from this link:
Laser Safety Goggles Spectacles Green/Blue/Red Protection Glasses Storage Box | eBay

the glasses arrived in a nice case as show
https://postimg.org/image/e8nyg6z73/

now lets do some testing,right?
1st tried with around 1500mw 445nm laser.
https://postimg.org/image/8qjqdi38p/

anddd,WOW i was impressed, almost no light at all passes throu the glasses (the laser is a bit anfocused just to prevent open a nice hole on those new glasses)

now lets try them with a bdr209 405 nm laser.this laser using a G2 lens and the focus is fixed so i had to do this part quick before it burns a hole
https://postimg.org/image/sivompu21/

and again WOW this is almost no light pass again.maybe something like less than 0,5mw

the bdr instant left some marks on the glasses but that was expected
https://postimg.org/image/wgjbl01fl/

overall ill put 10/10 for the performance/price.definetly a nice cheap glasses for a good start that definetly will protect your eyes if something happens

note that i have the other cheap ligher green cheap ebay glasses and they are not good if you compare them with those.

ps:sorry for the image links but i didnt figure out how to make them show on the right place that i want them to be.

thanks for the read and hope to help mostly new members for a quick and cheap gear before they make the 1st laser

I order to say the protect eyes you need to do test with a Laser Power Meter to create real daat--just saying not much ligh gets through means nothing identifiable as a level of laser protection. Those do not even have an Optical Density number associated with them--the seller wil not even represent that they have any level of protection.

Am sure they vary quite a bit from lot to lot ---even if they work as perhaps IPL (Intense Light Pulse) glasses they are throw away quality and price --maybe if you had a box of them that were all tested and were handing them out for free just for temporary very short term use --like at a MDs office for use durng a pulsed laser procedure with little possibility of eye damage even without glasses --just for comfort--or at a laser show where risk is minimal even without glasses--maybe they are ok

Bottom line for a laser hobby person is---they are great if you want to trust your eyesight/eye health to a pair of safety glasses that are $1.49 retail and probably cost 25 cent to make + are not certified to protect anyone from anything

My view however is that if you feel your eyes are not worth proper protection more than $1.49 and/or that is the best you can afford ro do for eye protection---It seems to me you should not own a laser of any kind either.
