Hi everyone,

You will have to excuse the rather quick review and lack of beam shots but for a first attempt I thought I would share what is in the box.

OdicForce were brilliant with this order. I placed the order in the afternoon on a Friday, it was dispatched Saturday (email notification) and arrived Monday (I am based in the UK).

The link is currently at PowerCheck Laser: 1W Focusing Blue Laser 450nm With Lens Accessory Thread And Pattern Generator Modules - Detailed item view - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop

OK - the box.

Everything was delivered in a big bag and inside protected nicely was the box which contained everything in it.

Very excited so opened the box to find everything in a nice protective foam packaging and each individual piece wrapped in a great fitting bubble wrap.

Inside:

The laser is supplied with pattern generator accessories:

I was really pleased with the style and size of the 1W blue (despite the measurements on the website I'd not actually checked what size it would be).

I purchased the 16340 batteries and they were included in the packaging in a nice plastic case.

I am only a newbie to lasers but the construction feels good:

And fits in the hand just like a lightsaber!

Of course safety goggles are needed for such a high-powered laser so I invested in these Eagle Pair googles:

And as a bonus Jon also threw in a Trustfire battery charger!

I will hope to update this quick review once I have an opportunity to take some beam shots.

Thanks

As I mentioned, that is a beautiful laser. I went to the website and they are out of stock of those silver models. That sucks cause I was planning on ordering one. I'm a very compulsive buyer, lol.

Yes I think there was only ever one silver in stock. I continue to check back daily to see what other lasers are added.

Looks good. I recently got a 50mW green module from OdicForce but I blew it by letting it get too hot (stupid fault) but I want to get a 100mW module with heatsink + thermal electric cooling from him next.

Hi All,

After searching the net for any reviews etc for the Odicforce 1w blue I found this site. Any updates for this laser yet? My other half ordered me one for Christmas so I hope the quality is ok .
The choices seem to be limited in the UK, only other laser pointer I have is a <50mW green one I got off ebay . It has XX-850 printed on it.

My Odicforce 1w blue laser arrived today, good service from them.
The build looks pretty good although the silver on mine has quite a few deep scuff marks .

Not had time to try it out properly yet. Anyway better not post too much , its not my thread , sorry

Just one thing. I see that the 16340 batteries are available in 2 sizes (36 mm and 36.8 mm). They cost the same, the only difference being that the longer batteries have a circuit to protect them from overcharging and short circuiting. Which size did you buy?

I use grey 880mAh Yezl which have circuit protection, they fit in mine ok but are only 35.8mm. I'd personally stick with protected batteries.
