Got this laser today. I think it would be better described as a 400mW+ IR laser. It peaks at 600mW with an average output of 545mW With IR. With the addition of an external IR filter the laser actually puts out 400mW of green light. The laser is solid and focusable. I love the look and feel of it. The beam diameter is 2mm but it is focusable. It is VERY bright. Burns like the best of them. Comes with a cool holster and a battery and charger. Great laser though. Power is a bit unstable but it is perfect TEM00 mode and everything else is perfect. I highly recommend this laser to anyone looking for a green beast.

I might get this one for a high powered green. I really like the host. Nice pictures! +1

Any? Funny.! :D
I think a better question is: how much of that ~600mW is IR? I hope not more than 20%. But even then, $200 is a great deal for half a watt of 532nm. :eg:
Have you measured the IR on this monster? :o

Let me check on that. I know at least 100mW is IR possible 200mW. Be back with results

Awesome sheets!

how long did you LPM the laser for? I wanted to get this laser but I was unattracted by the stated duty cycle.

Very nice! my 400mW crown upgrade peaked at 492mW, haven't IR filtered that one yet either, hopefully its low.

Did you order the 'cool holster' separately?

i think these are much cheaper than other 500mw because of the average beam divergence, unstable power and so-so duty cycle

Oh no wait I have a Lazerer 500mw coming sorry, I wonder how they will compare.

Thanks yob! Good review! Anyways to push more than 1 minute on the laser? I would love to get this laser but i would like to know more about the duty cycle.

Nice to the point review.

One question... how is it handling heat?

My experience with the older 400mW o-like torches has been that they warm up uncomfortably fast. As in 1 minute on max.
