What this is is a pen-style laser module that can be stuffed in your pocket or live in your briefcase. It emits a red beam with approximately 5.8mW of output power.

It comes in matte black finish body, with a matte silver color tailcap and nose.

Because this is a laser, you should not shine it into your eyes, other people's eyes, pet's eyes, etc. Just use a little common sense here, ok?

The emitted wavelength was spectrographically measured at 656.450nm, in the red portion of the spectrum.

Point the front end at whatever you wish to point out, and hold the button at the top front of its barrel down for as long as you need the laser spot. Release the button to turn the laser module off.

Yes, it really is that easy.

This button has a tactile "click" sensation to it. This click may also be audible to the user in a quiet location.

To change the batteries in your laser, unscrew and remove the tailcap, and set it aside.

Tip the two used AAA cells out of the barrel and into your hand, and dispose of, recycle, or recharge them as you see fit.

Insert two new AAA cells into the barrel, flat-end (-) negative first. This is the opposite of how batteries are installed in most flashlights, so please pay attention to polarity here.

Screw the tailcap back on, and be done with it.

Current usage measures 25.5mA on my DMM's 400mA scale.

This is a laser module, not a flashlight. So I won't whack it against a steel rod, run over it, try to drown it in the toilet bowl, throw it, stomp on it, or subject it to other abuses that a flashlight might have to endure. So this section of the web page will be more bare than this section of the page on a page about a flashlight.

This product isn't labelled at all; that's never a good thing when it concerns a laser intended for consumer use -- such as this one.

Same as above; spectrometer's response narrowed to a range of 650nm to 665nm.
This laser has a peak wavelength of 656.450nm and a spectral line halfwidth of ~1.45nm.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit was purchased from an unknown vendor at an unknown time; though probably within the last three years -- so it is of fairly recent manufacture. I did remember the warranty period as soon as I saw this laser, but not knowing who sells it could make taking advantage of that warranty a bit problematic.

No CDRH-mandated warning label -- that's what nocked off that last ½ star
Not submersible; but most lasers aren't. Will not affect rating

I like viewing your review. But i always find a hard time seeing the Output of the laser in your review.

Would it be possible to Highlight it will a color and put in on Bold with the size being 3 to make it more visible.?
