Re: ML7 laser goggles from OEMlasersystems,FrothyC

I just saw these threads, yer I'm still happy with these. Wouldn't mind a pair with a slightly higher OD for 630-660nm wavelength though maybe 2-2.5, as the red is still a bit bright, I've noticed this when aligning things.
I can't say how much it protects from 405nm, as these have an OD rating only up to 400nm I've never known if these would be suitable for it or not. I only have a 60mW to look at and I can say that the laser looks very dim on a beige painted wall (you can see all the artifacts on the window), and on a white piece of paper it still produces a bright bluey color, I'm guessing this is just flourescense but I don't know if it's still harmful.
Otherwise they're great, now I know that the green laser used in this review was 80mw, and I think it's good having that high OD for wide IR as well, good for those strong IR's that go for sale on here sometimes.

BTW, don't "vis-a-vis, ergo, and concordantly" all just mean "therefore"

I don't think theres enough ir protection. If i had a 1000mw 808nm and had 2 thirds reflect back into my od 4 goggles i would get 16.5 mw into me.

2/3 of 1000mW is 667mW. Putting that through an OD 4 lens passes 0.0667mW not 16.5mW.
