Here is a review of my special engraved Aquarius-5 which I traded with my Viasho 5mW with Scopeguy20.

my youtube and imageshack account drive me crazy and it took so much time to add these photos and videos.
Here are videos and mixed photos that will show you what I'll tell about Aquarius.

Power:
Aquarius 5mW is very well in specs and I can say well over specs about output power. It can peak 14.7mW in second video below and 10.3 in the first one. It can easily average 5mW. All it needs is a full battery :)

Quality:
It looks nice if you don't open the front aperture cap therefore the glue used for colimation lens is splashed in the sides of aperture.:)
It is something normal as it is handmade. Can be a bit cleaner :)
Mine also has a tiny worn spot at its enamel blue paint.

Size:
It has the same length as my nova X105.It is sure thicker in diameter because it uses a CR2 battery. Its beam is thicker than nova x105. Specs at Laserglow's webpage are wrong as diameter stated is 24mm but correct diameter is 17mm.Length is also wrong. Correct length is 150mm not 155mm :)
Has a nice collimation but has a beam coming out of the aperture with wide angle from center  because of misaligned collimation lens.(You can see it in video 4-5 compared with nova x-105.

Pros:
Has its collimation lens higher in its aperture gap so you can easily reach and clean when you open aperture cap.Good collimation. You can have a nice dotted line effect as it is pulsed.

Cons:
Drains battery very fast. I haven't finish the first battery yet but when you play continuously battery voltage drops and power outputs drops accordingly. You have to wait for the battery to get back to normal. I think rechargeables would perform better as they are in my nova x105.

Re: Short review of Engraved Aquarius5 (lots of ph

You bastard, my Aquarius is nowhere near that powerful. My beam is less crooked than yours, though, so at least there's that.

edit: Also, I was the one who was trying to get that Aquarius from scopeguy before you stole it away :(

edit2: here's my crooked beam:

Nice laser. I guess the output makes up for the fact that you got hit with a $400 customs tax.

Re: Mini review of Engraved Aquarius5 (lots of pho

I tested my Aquarius with fresh batteries, and it peaks about 10-12mW, so it's not that far from yours. I wonder if the engraving process had anything to do with how crooked the beam is?

Nooo. It is not related with engraving. The reason is misaligned collimation lens I guess.
And I didn't steal it, I traded it with a very stable and nice beam spec Viasho 5mW. It was just bigger from Aquarius.
8-)

I really deserve that after paying that much.I am broke after that even to buy a new CR2 after the first one :(

You may have traded something for but you definitely stole it away from me.

I'm pretty sure it's CNI's fault, not LaserGlow's. It's likely a product of the manufacturing process more than anything.

CNI's fault? Guess who made the CQ of it?
You can hire a company to produce lasers for you but you have to check them before selling. Nobody can accept that it is not your fault :)

Hey what about photos I've taken? Any ideas or comments? ;)

Re: Mini review of Engraved Aquarius5 (lots of pho

Amnizu, the person who "stole" your laser for sure was not Murat! I don't know who got that laser, but I thought it was a replacement for mode hopping Aquarius -5 which was first engraved -5 sold! That one went to quadcam. Whoever got it actually needed a replacement for one bought 2 months before you or Murat, that much I know for sure.
Nice review Murat! You take really good pictures, even with blue beams, I have a hard time recording even brighter blue beams. -Glenn

Oh, well I take it back then.

Thanks :)
My Canon is very successful in beam photos and I can say this is the best camera that matchs real world colors. 8-)

Hey Murat! Now that one was returned defective, I believe, you and quadcam and I are the only owners of engraved Aquarius lasers! makes 'em pretty rare! I hope Justin corrects me if I'm wronge, but only three in the world, that is a special highly limited edition item! ;D ;D ;D
